$200 Bankroll at Full Tilt. What limits?

I am building a bankroll at full tilt. I deposited $50 and built my way up to $200 but now I am unsure what limits I should be playing without getting too greedy? I have played higher then $6 buyins for tournaments and have been playing NLHE $0.05/$0.10 cash games where I buyin the max of $10. I do pretty well at both cash games and tournaments.

10nl up to $500-$600 then take a shot @ 25nl. Cash Games.

$6 Tourneys are about right for $200.

Thats probably the lower end of BRM but if your winning... Keep Winning.

If you want to guarantee not going broke, make it 100 buy-ins for tournaments, 50 buyins for cash.

So, I wouldn't play above the $3 90 man kos, or above .05/10. I used this strategy and went from $200 to $1500 in two months, and up from there.

Sounds like you've been playing a bit outside your BR. I would think you're decently safe playing 10nl... even though its outside your limits by about 200-300 dollars. For SnG/Tournaments I would definitely reduce your buy in, go for buyins that are 2-3 dollars w/ rake. You may not make as much as fast, but you will be safer just in case you hit a losing streak.

200= buy in for ring game 5%,buy in for single sng 5%, MTTbuy in 2%

200= 10.00 for ring games, buy in for single sng 10.00,MTT 4.00

big blinds to play at
05./ 0.10
there is your answer

100 big blinds X buy in for games, = blinds amount
100x$10.00=.10

Uh... there are no guarantees.
Most players are losing players.
This just helps minimize risk, but a losing layer will still go broke.

^^ very. Losing players will just go broke slowly with bankroll management. Bankroll Management only helps players who are winning players or at least break-even players(thanks to rakeback) and players whose rakeback exceeds their losses.

For instance, lets assume I won 10 million dollars from a lottery. If I go into high stakes table against Tom Dwan, Phil ivey, Patrik Antonius, Isildur1 while buying in for 100k, I'm gonna still go broke regardless of how good my bankroll management is even with 100 buy-ins.

I might use some of the money to buy in low sng that sat into a bigger tourney. I know ftp has some 4.4 tourneys where you get a chance to win a 26 dollar ticket. I think these are a great way to help get into big tourneys and get a big payout with little investment.

I've been playing the 5NL games with a ~200 BR. Building slowly by steadily as I get used to the stakes and get the amount of hands in (time/effort/learning).

I thought 10NL was a 300 BR at least for a BRM strat...

It depends on if you want to do SNGS or cash. I prefer 75-100 buyins for my sng grind, so your max game would be 2, with an ocaasional $3 90 man KO.

Just to add, if you care about your results, be a bankroll nit. 20BI is very thin for cash.

However most people are going to lose their roll anyway, so if it's just a hobby and you don't mind going bust, around 20BI is fine and will probably be more entertaining.

10nl sounds right, you can take a shot at 25nl but be careful, if you lose 1 buy in just drop back to 10nl, just take 1 buy in to 25nl so you get a feel for it.

I believe you should stay where you are at until you build to a higher bankroll

$6 tourneys are too high for your $200 bankroll. I would take the $1.10 45mans and mix it with $2.20 180man´s or $3 90man´s. The bounty SNG`s are a good variance reducer. Cashgame is not my area, i love SNG´s and MTT´s. Good luck !
