A 2,3,4,5s I am not sure if i should play these hands. The reason i like to play them sometimes is if its a tight table you can pick up the blinds if no one calls, they also can give you the nut flush or a pretty good straight draw, but if you hit the ace what do you do? I continue playing cautiosly. I still dont know if its worth playing in a earlyier position. Obviosly it depends on the situation, but do you play these hands early?

pick what kind of player you want to be, tight scared, tight strong, loose scared, loose strong. i consider myself tight strong (most times) and i fold these hands in a cash game, they wont make you much money, but i do play them sometimes in tourneys because the sole purpose of playing it fast and without much competition.

re: A 2,3,4,5s poker Yes as said before in this post... dont raise with them in early because you will find it really difficult to play post flop. In late position with no limpers its always worth a raise. Its kind of like a semi bluff in that situation. Its a poor hand.. but players wont know what you have. If you raise from the CO then only the button would have position on you post flop. AND althoug its not much of a hand post flop.. you could hit a monster ( straight, FLUSH or straight flush) flush being the most likely to be the winner!! plus its an easy hand to get away from post flop if you feel you are beat. Post flop you have toplay it with the intention of raising regardless of hitting your flop. If you hit.. great. If you dont then is the flop scary?? to you?? and your opponent??? forget about how it looks to you on the flop!! if you think its scary to your opponent then bet 3/4 pot on the flop. If it isnt scary to you and you are unsure of how your opponent sees it then also bet 3/4 pot on the flop. but fold if rereaised!! and seriously consider folding on the turn. So this brings you to the question of.. How positional are the players ahead of me and how big a bet do I need to make to be certain they fold, and what does it do to my chip stack if I am forced to fold after that bet. If you cant afford the loss.. you cant afford the bet.. so as a deep stack its worth a shot.. as a short stack its not worth a raise of less than All IN. Whether or not you go all in depends on table image and the likelyness of players to call you. Its a hand you would rather not get called on preflop.

Ace high flush draws automatically give you 13 outs on the flop to beat a 1 pair hand. Additionally, with so many poor fishy players playing any 2 suited cards, these suited aces allow you to win giant pots against them when you both have a flush, or it allows you to get them to put money in the pot drawing essentially dead since their draw is dominated. So against nits, you'll have a hand that will give you many good opportunities to semi-bluff them, and against fish, you'll often have their draws dominated. The main trap you have to avoid is putting money in out-kicked. However, this happens rarely short-handed & most players who have risen above amateur status know how to play TPNK for a profit.

Its certainly worth playing but only in late position and its a hand you want to raise with. Its not really a hand to cal a raise with, but a preflop raise makes it easier to take the pot down with a c-bet. By playing it in late position you can see if anyone shows any signs of agression before you bet. And like c9 said, if you do hit the flop, its a good drawing hand. |

re: A 2,3,4,5s poker I'd never call a raise with it, and I'd never call in early position, around the button maybe a call or raise, depending on who your up against, it is easy to get away from sometimes but its a hand that maybe your likely to chase with and fold a lot of the time, in the long run I think a bit of a loss, being quite tight I normally fold ace rag suited or not
