| $1/2, $2/4 limit hold em Hey guys Im mainly a HORSE player, and I find that I lose most of my money playing limit Holdem. I thought i would practice and i have been playing 1/2 limit and 2/4 limit on pokerstars. what i have found is I make very little money. maybe $10 an hour..and thats kind of rounding up its more like $9. Any tips on limit holdem beyond the basics..im just trying to get that little edge to bring my horse game to a higher level. Any tips or direction to existing posts would be great. Thanks, Dave |

| 4 things: 1) Value bet/raise really wide. If you have a pair (of anythings) its usually worth sticking some bets in. 2) Recognize when they aren't bluffing, and start folding even when you're getting 6:1. 3) Be good preflop. Read all the old hand chart discussions, and digest a ton of info. Postflop plays itself a little bit because the pot gets so big. 4) I played HORSE from $1/$2 to $15/$30 up until a couple of months ago, and I had pretty similar issues (weak at LHE, LO8). Message me on AIM @ "c9h13no3hcl" if you want any advice. Oh, and moving up in stakes will NOT help you win more. |
