Withdrawals for poker sites Well folks, it appears that my time here on earth appears to be growing quite short; but that's OK with me and somewhat of a relief after years of great pain and much suffering (so I'm not asking for sympathy). What I'm going to do is try an experiment to see how much of my poker winnings I can recover from the sites I have some winnings on. As most of my friends here at CC know, I'm a pretty poor dude with no life insurance (except for mortgage insurance to cover my home) and what I hope to do is recover enough money from my winnings to meet cremation expenses as I do not want to leave that burden on any of my family or friends. Cake poker says I need $500 for minimum withdrawal so that site's way out of my range. I'm trying to withdraw from Carbon, Doyles, Bodog, UltimateBet, and FullTilt. FullTilt says I need a photo ID and copy of a recent utility bill, but since I don't have a scanner or fax, any info or ideas any CC members can can offer would be appreciated. I'll keep you all posted on the progress this experiment having just started the process today (2/8/10). I wish continued good luck to all you CCers and may God bless you and your families. Your friend Rodpoker

Sorry to hear about what's going on in your life but in regards to Cake Poker if they require a min. of $500 to withdrawl and you're righting it off why not go play loose at a cash table or two and get the BR to their min. and cashout. Good luck with everything buddy.

Wow, sorry to hear your bad news but the silver lining, if there is one, is that you have a chance to spend some quality time with loved ones, say things you want to say, etc. Best of luck to you. In regard to the photo ID requirements, I think you could go to a Kinko's or even a photo shop to get scans of your ID, utility bill, etc. They should be able to put it on a disk for you to then e-mail. Probably less than $10 total. Cake poker's policy sounds like bullsh1t! Again best of luck.

Sorry to hear about your situation. As Lane mentioned, at least you have an oppurtunity to spend time w family, etc. My partner was diagnosed w liver cancer awhile back & given a limited amount of time to live so I have a small idea about it (it's sooooo tough for all). As far as the poker acc't withdrawls, I'm wondering how it's been going for you? Also, I had no idea that Cake's min. withdrawl is $500?!?!?! THat seems HUGE!!!!! (I'm glad I haven't deposited on there.. or play on there either). It would seem then that it's almost like playing with monopoly money then for play in the micros (what a shame that is). I'm not sure if there are player-to-player transfers on Cake? (if there is now I don't think there was awhile back as a buddy of mine had won some $'s on there & wanted to trade it for Fulltilt $'s,.. he & a friend of his opened up a HU cash table and he proceeded to donk off his roll to his buddy, while doing cash transfers on Fulltilt at the same time). If possible, maybe you could try doing some trades with friends on other sites so that you can get the majority of your money on just one site & then withdrawl from there? I know you don't know me at all but I'd be happy to help you do some small trades if it'd help you out at all (I'm always into buying $'s on Fulltilt, but would buy Pokerstars as well). Hope you're able to work something out & again so sorry to hear about your current situation.

re: Withdrawals for poker sites $500? That is absurd!! Anyway, about the fax thing, it costs about $5 to get stuff faxed at my local mail box type store. but ask around of friends and family and you may find someone who has a free fax. I know Players Only and doyle's, also cake network, don't have that high requirement. Could you be mistaken?

I'm sorry to hear about your situation, OP. There's good advice in this thread, best of luck to you. I also had a question in regards to withdrawal. I recently moved and now I basically just rent a room where I live. Every site requires some type of utility bill, credit card bill or phone bill. My problem is that I don't have any utility bills here, I don't use credit cards (I used a pre-paid one to deposit) and I have a Boost Mobile, which don't send you statements b/c you pre pay them. Any ideas what I can use that they will accept?
