What about this for getting your money out.

See if there are any holes in this theory.

For the purpose of getting your money out of the Poker Sites, transfer to a friend in a foreign country and have the friend send it back to you.

May have to pay the friend a small sum for the trouble.

I have friends in England that I thrust very much, and know it is "do able"

Any one see any holes in this theory.

Gee Im so sorry to hear about the cashing issues there, thats really harsh especially in these economic times!

I am in SA and use moneybookers for deposits and withdrawals but have read their T&C and they are pretty harsh re the money laundering laws - dont you think that perhaps they would start picking up on it if everyone started doing that.

This is just my 2c worth tho cos I am really not too clued up on how all this operates but reading the different merchants T&C's could help.

It's cool to have a friend abroad who can cash out the bankroll you transfer to him. That's probably the safest way as legislation continues tightening grips on cashout methods in US.

yeah i have some friends in england that i would be ok with doing this with... seems to me the best route at this point till the goverment figures out its being done.

I have no friends... outside the United States :P

i hate it when poker sites charges you an outrageous amount oof money to withdraw your money. for instance carbon charges 25 dollars

Only site I've cashed out from is stars... they always sent me a check.. no problems and I live in US

The only problem with someone doing that for u is the tax issue. How is the person going to give u the money. It would be good if he could send u cash somehow to avoid all tax problems. If he sends u a check from an overseas bank your bank may haves some problems. The transfer of money to another player is a good idea, but it is the withdraw is sticky right now, or in the future. You could really make somesort of business out of it, if u think about long enough and the US does come down really hand and makes it impossible to get ur money. There will be a need for something like this.

What about opening a bank account in say Canada, and have everything done electronically. You could get at your cash with a bankcard/ATM card. That could be doable???????????

Also the exchange rate. Believe me we have tried to come up with solutions. This isnt a viabale one. right now only good options to get money out is Pic club or ewallet. Hopfully after July 7th things will change.

I looked into that as I am in Canada every so often. You need an address and some form of work visa to open an account. I suppose you could use a temp address from a mailbox etc type place but you'd still need a visa.

Why, what happens on July 7th that might change things?
