| Shut out of PokerStars, so I downloaded Carbon Poker ....... ....... and installed it. And then I click to deposit to see what options are available. The first one is Visa. I'm pretty sure I can't use that. And none of the others seem promising. So I sent an email to support, ask them how I can make a deposit. The auto reply says they'll reply in 4-8 hours. It's been 2 days, no reply. Not very impressive. Now maybe one of those choices will actually work. But if Carbon Poker's customer support is this lousy, do I even want to get any money on this site? What happens if, by some miracle, I win a bunch of money and want to withdraw it? With such piss poor support, I'm thinking "To hell with online poker" now. I've been playing online for better than seven years, but things look pretty bad now, especially after I've read all about the UB thievery. |

OK, for kicks I will login and see if I can figure it out (I have never deposited there). Big Red Button says deposit now. That seems easy enough Kidding aside. Visa shows up, and there is probably a way to get some type of Visas to work, but maybe not in most cases (we will say no). Click2Pay, I already know is not gonna work in US, UseMyWallet, definitely works in USA, but you need to try to deposit using Visa and get declined before you can get an invite (and even then you may not get one). Hmm...Cash Transfer, what does that mean. Well why dont I click deposit button next to it to see what it might tell me...... Cash Transfer is an easy way of depositing money into your account using a well know worldwide system of outlets and agencies.Input the amount you would like to deposit. In the next screen you will be provided step by step instructions for transferring the funds. Now that seems pretty informative, nothing I need to email support about. And when you enter amount you want to deposit and click button it magically tells you exactly how to deposit the money. And I didnt even have to wait two or more days to get an email to tell me how to deposit. Imagine that. Maybe they figured if you were not smart enough to follow their simple directions, you were not a priority to answer what must be a tremendously busy support staff at this time answering more important questions from a ton of new players. There is even another way to deposit using their P2P transfer system getting money from other players, but it is not on their website and support will not tell you about it. Basically involves simple trading between players. Last edited by WEC : 12th May 2011 at 12:43 PM. |

| You have to keep in mind they are probably very busy with email with their existing customers and new customers wanting to deposit and ask stupid questions that they cannot possibly answer paranoia related to Black Friday. If you really cannot figure it out, you could always use their live support but asking them about deposit methods they will stay to the safe side. I was depositing on another site and called their customer service to ask, they told me not to do the visa gift card because it does not always work in the US, but they had an excellent other method, but I had to get a gift card to put on that. I ended up just entering the card info on the site and it worked. |

| I think in the long run the US will take over this site too, just like they have all other sites. Carbon's banking is very poor, and the last time I checked you need a decent amount to withdraw with a check and I believe they charge you $15. I won't deposit, but if I get lucky and win some freeroll money then I'll play there. Otherwise i'm pretty much done with online poker for now. There player count is rising, but it's still similar to where it was before the big shut downs. I guess it shows you players aren't switching right away to carbon poker for a reason. |
