Screwed by SpadeClub
Jeez,
SpadeClub has put the screws to me already. They debited my account without my authorization and now I have a bounced debit card account. And, my bank charges $5.00 per day for overdrafts. Here is the e-mail I sent to SpadeCard Support: Hello Support, You debited my back account with out my authorization for $19.99 for months fee to SpadeClub. I only had $4.00 in the account and now the withdrawal will bounce. I had intended to renew my membership next week when funds were available in my checking account. Please don’t make withdrawals from my account without my authorization. And, please reenter the !9.99 back into my account. And, let me determine when and if I want to continue membership in SpadeClub. Thank you, Michael Ange |

Unless you signed (or checked a box giving OK) and agreement to allow them to auto-withdraw money from your account, that's not legal for them to do. I would be willing to bet that when you signed up on the site that you clicked something, maybe without reading all the fine print, that gave them the green light to do this.

I went to spade Club and under their Terms and Conditions:
Credit Card Payment. By registering for an Exclusive Account, you are authorizing SpadeClub to charge the applicable recurring SpadeClub Exclusive Account membership fees to your credit card, using whatever payment processor and/or merchant bank SpadeClub deems appropriate in the exercise of its sole and unfettered discretion. When you provide credit card information to SpadeClub, you represent to SpadeClub that you are the authorized user of the credit card that you are providing. Each billing period that you have an Exclusive Account, you reaffirm that SpadeClub is authorized to charge your credit card for the Exclusive Account membership fee. You agree to promptly notify SpadeClub of any changes to your credit card account number, its expiration date, or your billing address, and you agree to promptly notify SpadeClub if your credit card expires or is canceled for any reason. You are responsible for all charges incurred, including applicable taxes, and all purchases made by you or anyone that uses your Account, including your family or friends. This means that, unless your Account or credit card information is obtained unlawfully or fraudulently by someone other than those authorized by you to use your Account, you will be responsible for all usage and purchases on your Account. If you signed up for their free trial: If you accept a free trial Exclusive Account, we will begin to bill you for a monthly Exclusive Account when the free trial period expires, unless you cancel your Account before that time. |

I got an account at Spade Club about a year ago. I had it for 3 months, I then cancelled. They charged one more month after I notified them to end my membership. This caused an overdraft which cost me $32 dollars. After another Email tothem they replaced the money into the account but never covered the overdraft fee. The bank did give the charge back after I explained the situation.
I also noted a trend ,that the same people kept winning, regardless the cards the had and no matter how hard you would push them they wouldn't fold even with horrific hands. Thats why I got out. |
