I know both FT and PS offer free withdrawals via check or e-transfer.

I am on Carbon now who charges $15 a check. For a micro player like myself, that's a fairly large portion of the profits.

I've been playing at Carbon for a year and I did'nt know that they charged $15.00 per check for every withdrawal. Will someone verify this, if this is true?

I went to the withdrawal screen, where check is the only option offered to me, and under fee it says $15 per check.

I am of the lowest VIP status, so maybe people at higher tiers get free checks.

Was $15.00 pre check on Gr88, another Merge site. Haven't been as fortunate on Carbon. Seems the swings keep me about even there. Racking up VIP points, what ever that buys you these days.

Why withdraw with a cheque? Why not just do withdraw back to the card you deposited on for free?

I guess they charge so much because cheques are like ancient these days and never heard of and probably costs them a lot more so trying to discourage people using such an old method. Hell, I think most places in the UK have stopped accepting cheques to buy stuff. I think only big businesses use them for payment of large sums of money, apart from that they are a bad transaction option.

I deposited from my checking account. I don't think using credit card worked.

if your in the U.S., then you cant withdraw it to your credit card. Paper check, echeck or ewallet are the most common ways. Absolute poker and Ultimate Bet also have free Echeck, but not sure about paper checks on those sites. My preference is to stick with the bigger sites for free withdrawals via paper or echeck and a variety of other reasons.
