PlayersOnly refuse to refund after closing account

Hi there,

I want to report my strange experience with PlayersOnly. I deposit some funds at PlayersOnly (but not part of any bonus program) and after 2 weeks I made up +/- 80 USD winnings.

Then suddenly my account was closed by PlayersOnly because of my "behaviour". I do not have further explanation. Ok, have to accept this, it's their free choice.

BUT they only accept to refund my initial deposit (so far I haven't got any refund...) and not the outstanding balance at the moment the account was definitely closed. Honnestly I do not understand such a decision. This means that the site can at any moment close your account and refuse to pay out the net winnings you made. In the beginning I thought this was a joke or misunderstanding, but no...

Does anyone had a similar experience ?

Well - you need to tell us why they closed your account. I can tell from your post that you have a pretty good idea of why.

Usually when this happens it is justified - but it is impossible for us to answer your question without knowing what you did.

50

About 2 weeks ago,I had won 60 bux or so,I forgot the exact amount at the moment, mainly from freerolls over a period of time.
I had never deposited at Playersonly.I sent them an email asking if I needed to deposit before cashing out. They replied no.,just send my state ID,and a bill in my name for verification reasons.
So I sent my info in,and requested a cashout on 60-bux or so,and about a week later,I got the check, and cashed it,and had no problems.
The moral of the story,I never had to deposit, and no fishyness on my part or theirs, and I got paid.I see no problems at this time with PlayersOnly.
All I can say is,they must have a good reason to close your account, like multiple accounts, someone playing under your account at another residence or something had to take place,I am guessing..

Dakota-xx,

This question should be asked to the administrator of PlayersOnly, they decided to close my account. Reason : comments made in chat room ???

As I said I have to accept this decision, but the point is that I do not get the refund of the net winnings I honnestly made on this site. And this is robbery, sorry.

I mean, after winning money, they state that they don't want me as a costumer and that my money is lost. Not my idea of fairness.

re: PlayersOnly refuse to refund after closing account poker

If you said something in chat, they usually just block your chat, not zap your account...for 1st offense anyway, there must be something your not telling us...or someone else been playin on your account..or you are suspected of collusion...muliple accounts...Id ask them for the reason,if you truly dont already know...

Dear Nightmoves44,

In fact the first decision was to block my chat (for 10 days) but hours after (and didn't play any game during that time) I was suddenly suspended.

I have no problems with the account being blocked, but why am I refused the entire refund?

No collusion, no multiple accounts (don't even have the technical backdround to do this). Imagine you go to the casino with 100USD, win a few bucks and then when you want to leave to take your money away because they affirm you are a bad guy. Let's be serious.

Still can't answer with such vague details. What did you say in the chat?

Well,

After several provocation from other players (mot...f...) I reacted with using the f...word, this is not my real nature but after so many disgusting attacks I lost my nerves. I recognize this and I am sorry about it.

BUT ONCE AGAIN, this is not the point. We are here in a chat treating with withdrawal issues, and it is not acceptable that money someone honnestly won, won on a regular basis, is not redeemed. In my eyes these are criminal methods.

Players Only, like every other above-board poker site has one simple goal: To attract as many players as possible that will in turn generate rake ie; the site's revenue. This is not the Country Club on the hill or some fancy restaurant with a 3 month wait for a table we are talking about. Exclusionary is not a word often used when describing online poker client lists. In fact, many sites will turn a blind eye to most infractions deemed minor to moderate in nature.

So for you to claim that Players Only just up and closed your account for no reason (1st story), or maybe a small reason (2nd version) and sacked you whopping winnings is hard to believe for me.

Now come on, tell us what really went on.

I have a feeling this may not have been his first offense. Or perhaps more than 1 report was filed

Pretty lame for any site to ban you for chat, unless you were colluding, or somehow destroying the integrity of the game. If they don't like your foul mouth, they can mute you.

I wonder if you would get your whole initial deposit if you had lost part of it. That is to say, they keep your winnings, would they absorb your losses?

Just a note: There has been a guy on 2+2 that has been posting similar things about Players Only and other Sites. That they close account and take everything except initial deposit and other stories that sound unlikely. Mods there report that the guy over there is a kook and has made over 50 accounts posting similar BS.

My guess is this story is full of poop and a lie. If they were going to close his account for behavior, they would certainly give him the full amount of money in his account. The vague post and no backup to his claims--are almost a sure indicator that this may be the same sick individual. I would ask MODs to check on this account.

PS In one of the guys threads, he even post chat logs and such, but they were so unbelievable you could tell he was telling a lie and making up/editing the logs

Vex444,

I do not understand what you mean (1st offense). First the chat was blocked and hours later the account was closed, so there was no 1st warning, penalization... When a player get penalization first but continues to use chat, OK, I can understand the decision.

One word to WEC, I have seen the threads at 2+2 (surprisingly at the same moment I posted my thread) but they weren't from me.

What is a fact that I was banned for chat and not colluding.
