| New Guy has a question Hi everyone I'm new here. Have read through some of the threads and have collected some useful information. Anyway I have a question regarding Absolute poker. I deposited $400 to my AP poker account through echeck. I've never had a problem. Apparently (this has happened 3 times to me in the past) my debit card was compromised. It had nothing to do with AP but my bank would not let any transactions go through so my echeck deposits bounced I guess you could say. Of course I was not aware of this so while I was playing with the $400 I quickly increased it to $2,500. When I found out about the banking issue I emailed AP and told them about it. Explaining to them what happened and that it was my banks fault etc... I knew since I had made X amount of dollars that there would be no problem so I withdrew $1,000 and left the rest in there. Few days ago I get an email from them saying my account is on hold and I owe them $400 and I can pay using a credit card or I would have to do a bank transfer. So they cancelled my withdrawl I guess and are now holding my account... Can't they just take the $400 I owe them from my account? I don't get it really. I don't want to pay the $18 or whatever it is to send them a bank transfer. Anyone been in this situation before? |

| Well, if I am reading this right, 3 times that you have deposited with echeck on Absolute, it just so happens are the 3 times your account is compromised and deposits bounce? It kinda sounds like you are try to float checks through them which could be an issue. |

| Thanks for the welcome guys... Yes sorry for the bad wording in my original post... What I meant to say is over the last two years or so my bank has stopped all transactions due to my debit card being compromised. Thats happened about three times now. SO what the bank does is stops any transactions until you go into the bank and reset your pin etc... I also knew this would affect my echecks because the bank puts a stop on everything. Needlesstosay I called AP and told them right away. The funds were in my account. Even after this is all sorted out the funds are still there but they are demanding I send them the funds... Fishy on their end if you ask me. If they really wanted the 400 I owed them you think they would just take it from my account. Instead they are holding all the money I have in my account. Just weird really. |

They are most likely looking for the initial deposit to clear to validate bank to you. Sure enough "red flags" have been flown to at least think there is fraud. Not saying it is, but I'm sure you would appreciate them taking the steps to verify this. What is the time frame, from the deposit to the account on hold? Good luck, keep us informed, there are lot who play there who probably like to know it was handled fairly. |

| re: New Guy has a question poker to withdraw I think I used bank transfer but there was no echeck option. I figured the bank transfer was the same. All my account info came up etc.. Well when you echeck the funds are in your poker account instantly.. I'm not new to AP. I actually stopped playing there for months because 1 player was mad at me. Yeah I took his coin. Anyway he started telling me he had my ip address then he said so how is your wife "he said her name" doing? That freaked me out so I stopped playing there. The only reason I wnt back is because AP personally called me and asked where I have been. They gave me a few incentives to come back... I always used echeck to deposit and never had a problem... I'm wondering if my bank transfer withdrawl got lost in the shuffle somewhere? I guess I'll just wire them the money and see if they unlock my account. |

Your withdraw didn't get lost it's flagged with the deposit. Guess a $18.00 wire transfer fee is the least of the problem. Pretty cheap solution if that gets you back at the tables and can make the withdraw. AP called and solicted you with incentives? May I ask what those were? |
