MONEYBOOKERS not for US deposits/withdrawals I'm concerned that I've heard more than one recommendation to use moneybookers for deposit and withdrawal for http://www.moneybookers.com/app/help.pl?s=terms This is as of 03/30/2011. Key points: 2.3. Moneybookers is regulated as a money transmitter by the various states of the United States, and is also a registered money services business with the U.S. Treasury Department. Moneybookers is subject to applicable U.S. federal and state laws and regulations in the operation of the Moneybookers Payment Service. 3. Registration For Service 3.1. Furthermore, it is strictly forbidden to send payments from a Moneybookers Account in connection with gambling or gambling services such as sports betting, casino games and poker games. 7.4. It is strictly forbidden to receive payments as consideration for the delivery of: (same crap listed above as well as) Furthermore, it is strictly forbidden to receive payments to a Moneybookers Account in connection with gambling or gambling services such as sports betting, casino games and poker games. I think some of the U.S. poker sites need to make sure they are not listing moneybookers.com as a deposit/withdrawal source or some people are going to be in for some bad news when their account is frozen and possibly lose their money. I was trying to find reviews about moneybookers and come across a site with a bunch of complaints that moneybookers scammed them, or they couldn't get their money from them. This made me curious, plus no where did they list transaction times for deposits and withdrawals. So I read the fine print, and I'm blown away. I think I'll be getting my payments via check just to be safe. Then if my bank has a problem with it, maybe I can at least get it cashed at one of those check cashing places. My initial deposits will be small enough that it won't hurt if I get burned and lose it in some political BS about US regs. Probably test a min payment amount as well just to make sure I'm not wasting my time. Would had to stack a nice roll only to find out I can't get my hands on it. I'm sure there are some "other" ways to get the money, but it would suck to resort to such tactics

Moneybookers doesn't work for US players to deposit/withdrawal just as you pointed out. Moneybookers works perfectly well for the rest of the world. So while you're correct you can't use them, for lots of people outside the US, they're a great option. BTW changed the thread title to remove the "dire" tone.

Ok, they must have automatically directed me to a US only site, because I seen the part that you had to be a US resident to even register so I just assumed it was for US residents only. I probably should have clicked the link "I'm not a US resident" and it would have told me that instead of assuming it would just tell me they were only available for US residents. I've been reading fine print for days now trying to make sure I don't throw away my limited start-up money just because I'm a US resident, and I've been outta the online scene for about a year now and I come back to find out the shit hit the fan. I guess anyone in the US needs to be wary of any deposits and withdrawals until things settle down a bit. Guess I'll be on the nickle and dime tables Thanks for the correction and clarification.
