FULL TILT QUICK DEPOSITS - INDICTMENT

What is going to happen to all the deposits that have not been run through peoples bank accounts via Quick Deposit? I know people that have thousands that have still not been debited from their bank accounts for months... Were the payment processors today the ones that went down and now they can not debit from player accounts? Should people be concerned that these companies still have our information? If people close bank accounts that are attached to these quick deposits could they even justify collecting months from now?

We have seen your previous posts. Right now the dust needs to settle and you do owe the money. Whatever you do is up to you.
Most here have morals, so no one is going to tell you close your bank account to avoid paying as you have previously suggested.

Poofy... actually i have checks that i cashed out 3 days ago... and debits that have not been credited and they actually even out... so I am completely more but I have a feeling these checks will get bounced as the bank has frozen them... at the same time i have seen people in here talk about how they are getting non authorized charges taken out of their bank accounts... absolutely i will pay the money i just want to make sure this doesnt turn into a disaster and more money is taken out that should be... hope you understand my concern

Ah, well, considering their processors are all tied up in this, I don't think they will be doing the unauthorized withdrawals anymore.
You will seriously now have to wait till this all clears up before they can even begin to straighten it out. I would not even bother emailing them yet.
If you are in the US, after this weekend it will be alot clearer where it all stands. If we are all banned, you may just be entitled to whatever balance is there and be free to withdraw.

you think it really will be clearer by the end of this weekend? i thought it would be longer... see the key here is the processors are the ones with the money... the US Government has made it illegal for processors and banks to release and take money... the indictment is saying the only reason we got money in using quick deposit is the processors used make believe fony company names... therefore it sounds like its going to be illegal for them to debit the accounts... in saying that all the withdrawal money via check withdrawal and wires were coming from these same processors... if those accounts are frozen good night...

I think we may know better where we stand after the weekend, maybe I am being too hopeful
If the US is banned it will take a while to get any money you won, but am thinking the deposits that did not go through would be lost (to them).

Like many of us, I've made e-check deposits over the past 4-5 months and none of them have been debited from my checking account. With FTP being shut down, what should I make of this for my deposits? Can i assume these will not be taken from my account for as long as the site is shut down in the US?

Please advise if you have any info.

On another note, I have a paper check from FTP that I have yet to deposit (received it a few days ago). Am I going to have issues cashing it? Will it bounce?

Hey Rogg - It seems like we are in the exact same boat here. I have 1 paper check in my hands (just got it yesterday) and have one that is processing but havent recieved yet. you think the check I have will clear or will it bounce?
I assume I won't get the 2nd check, but curious if this check i have in my hands is even any good....

Bigger issue is the debits that never came out of my checking account. For me it totals $1,800 so it's not small. I am considering just closing my account bc i dont want anything funny happening. If you get a chance, let me know how u think you're going to proceed. Thanks man.

Bustitoff I am in the exacctttt same situation... have deposits to come out... have a check coming... and i still have funds in full tilt... i am not sure what i am going to do but i have a feel the checks will bounce (even though our money)... these illegal processors were writing those checks out of the accounts that were frozen i would think... what a scam

So what are you going to do about the deposits that haven't been taken from your checking account? I assume they can not do anything about it and I really don't want weird withdrawals or any issues in the future so closing the account might seem the way to go...can/would they do anything to try and collect the funds if or when they were ever able to to do so?

I have no clue... I understand the money is to be owed but the last thing I want happening is some company that is major trouble to have access to my bank account info... I have no clue what to do and have not decided yet... I am checking daily to see what is going to happen... Have you emailed full tilt? I have not

I haven't emailed them. I cashed the check they just sent me, we'll what happens and if it actually goes through. Figure, worst case is that it bounces and I'm in the same boat as everyone else. I am more concerned about the deposits that have yet to hit my account - totally agree with you on your point about these guys having my personal account info during a really distressed time - my gut is telling me to just close out that checking account...my only concern in doing it is potential creditors coming after me, etc. But how could they given the operation that they were running?

Ya i totally agree... i guess let the dust settle and just monitor your account... we need to get more people to discuss this because there are thousands of people going through the same thing

There are so many threads about this issue (including one I started) that I am getting dizzy!

To recap my situation: US player, made about 10 quick deposits dating back to November 2010, none have been processed through my checking account. Several months ago I emailed FT and received what we now know is the standard 'we are working on it' reply. I see no point in any of us emailing FT again about this matter.

But, like others, I don't like keeping several thousand dollars in my bank account for months -- or what may turn into years. (My guess is that, since the Feds got actively involved, this could turn into a long process.)

Summary (as I see it): we cannot do anything other than simply wait and see. The funds may be deducted from our accounts next week, next month, next year ... or (maybe) never.

Am I right? Wrong?

Ive already closed the account I had used to fund full tilt and stars. There are 2 deposits from 5 months back, never debited from the account. If they eventually catch up and its closed, they can bar me from playing for real money on their sites until I make good.

Yo Cam - I think you are right and that is the way to go. You think that's the worst they can do is just bar you from Real Money play? I assume they can't do too much else (collection agency, creditors, etc) but there is a small part of me that is nervous....I think in the end I will close the account. You know of others choosing to close their accounts?

Rogg - I cashed the check, but I am not sure yet if it will go thru. I should know in the next day or 2 if it cleared. I totally agree, i just want to move on, but at this point our options are a) wait it out or b) just close our accounts

ok ya let me know... i just got the check today... but i withdrew (from FT) it like 3 weeks ago so it probably was in the mail well before then... i dont want to cash just yet... and i want to pay my debts... so let me know if the check goes through... if it does, i will cash the check and leave it in that account with the amount they are supposed to debit for a couple of weeks to see what happens... i 100% want to pay the money i owe but do it safely

In my case its just couple of $20 deposits so if they want to hunt me for it , no biggy, and its an an account I was going to close anyway. Normally I would never boogie on a debt but Im more afraid that Ill look at the account and like 40k is gone and I have no recourse.

I cashed the check monday and I haven't heard anything from the bank about it bouncing...looks like it was good.

The interesting paradox is that once you cash that check you are part of the so called bank fraud and money laundering and subject to severe fines and jail.

From what I have read so far, receiving funds from a gambling institution is not illegal, but banks are not allowed to transfer funds to the online gambling entities. It is illegal for the online gambling entities to disguise the tranasactions to avoid banks barring the transaction. That is where the online gambling entities have been caught violating the law.

The fraud is the collection of deposits made by players into their online accounts, there is no fraud related to those entities sending checks or transferring funds to players. That is why the FBI is supposedly going to allow US players access to their accounts to facilitate withdrawal of the balance in account.

That's my understanding as well. In any case, the check I tried depositing bounced so it doesnt even matter....Not sure what's happening here

Yeah, this is my understanding as well. To that end, do you think the DOJ/FBI will ever allow FTP to take its outstanding deposits from US players? Or just withdrawals?

It seems unlikely that the feds would allow FT or others to collect those deposits as that is exactly what the fraud they have been charged with is all about??????????????

like the day before this scandel happened i deposited on UB and it still hasnt charged me...do u think it will?

Can't speak for UB, but if it's anything like FTP or the other sites, it'd be hard for them to recoup these unprocessed deposits...or at least you would think, given the violation is directly tied to banks processing these transactions.

So your saying that my transaction is canceled? so it wont charge me?

I am definitely not telling you that your transaction has been canceled or that you won't get charged. There's no way I would know that - I am simply saying that given the circumstances, it's within reason to think that it will be difficult for these institutions to recoup these unprocessed deposits and that perhaps you and others will never get charged - that's all....
