A few questions.. (PS) Hi, I'm new here and to the online poker scene (having only recently turned 18). I've got a few questions - and I have tried searching through older threads but all I can find are bitty parts to parts of questions that I want answering. And I've also read the opening guide, but that has things very generally. So I was hoping that I could try and summarise everything so that a full and concise response can be given neatly in one place; if it's not too much to ask of course! --- I just want to know a few things about PokerStars. Firstly, in regard to some of the things I am going to ask I realise they may only result from near impossible situations, but I would regardless like to know the answers! For eg, I have an account at PS. What is the minimum check withdrawal, and is there a fee, for UK players. Is it possible to withdraw without having ever made a deposit? Say I lucked my way into a cash seat in one of their crappy too many player freerolls; would that cash be instantly credited into my PS account and would I be able to treat it as if I had deposited it myself? (ie playing with it, withdrawing it, accumulating FPP with it, etc.) Basically is it genuinely possible to start a bankroll with nothing. I have been reading around these forums a fair bit and I realise PS is -NOT- the best place to try it, but right now I'm playing with friends weekly, and just playing a bit online for fun and there's nothing to lose in the freerolls despite I might not be learning. Thanks a bunch, Joe. x

1) Winnings would be credited to your account in cash, and you could use it to play other tournaments. 2) If you are in the UK it wouldn't be a check withdrawal, it would be a cheque withdrawal. Personally I use Moneybookers to deposit and withdraw, so I don't know what the minimum would be, sorry. 3) A few poker sites let you withdraw without having deposited, but I don't think that PS is one of them. 4) It is feasible to build a bankroll there without depositing but - as you said - it's not necessarily the best place to do it.

re: A few questions.. (PS) poker Don't know what a min withdrawal amount is. 'crappy freerolls' ... you only win a ticket for a Round 2 game (any Sat or Sun) in the PS freerolls. If you make it ITM in a Round 2, yes, the cash is immediately available in your account. Yes, a BR is possible from -$0- ... I have a BR on Stars with a withdrawable balance (and several other sites) and have never made a deposit on ANY poker site. Key word = patience. Withdrawals without ever making a deposit can be done on Stars. I already have my e-mail confirmation from Stars that I qualify for withdrawals, and have never made a deposit. In some cases, they may require additional info or verifications, but that is a Security issue. When you request a withdrawal, they look at each account the first time. If you opened an account today, won a big amount and immediately tried to withdraw, I'm sure it would throw a flag in the air. Hope that helps a bit.
