it wouldnt work for me when i tried to use my tdbanknorth account, because you cant mix funds (meaning you cant fund an us account with a canadian bank account) since i technically live in ny (literally right on the border), but i have my banking in quebec, i had to use the allaccess visa to deposit edit: this is because when i first set up my pokerstars account, i did it from a us ip address, so they automatically set it up in us funds had i known all of this then, i would had opened my pokerstars account in canada, then i would be able to deposit and withdraw straight to my bank account with echecks |

| Golf I had the same problem as you. I opted to go with a 'load-as-you-go' Titanium Master Card available at Money Mart. Works the same as any credit card but there is a one time $20 reg'd fee and a monthly maintenance charge. It still keeps my Visa safe from any parasites and I can use it for any poker site (or any other CC purchases) as needed. Unfortunately we don't have the same luxury as the US where they can walk into a convenience store and drop down $25 for a VISA gift card (certain ones only) and away you go. Given that Stars and Tilt require copies of ID and other verifications that never seem to satisfy them on the first attempt, this is rather easy and the lack of BS headaches actually makes the fee worthwhile compared to the time, effort and costs of faxing info repeatedly. Just a suggestion. If you're on the west coast, there is a bank, BMO maybe or possibly Scotia (google will find it) that offers a VISA or MC gift card. |
