credit card/withdrawing questions?

hi, im a noob and i want to start playing online for real money. Can i use my debit card to put real money into an account? I want to play at pokerstars with my friend. If i win money what do i need to do to receive a check? do i have to send stuff in like id and what not to porve who i am? i heard before you have to do that. Sorry if this is somewhere but id like to get some answers, thanks.

Some cards work on some sites but not others. None of my credit cards worked on pokerstars, so I called them and used an e-Check, which is a transfer right from your checking account. That worked fine.

Sometimes a VISA all access gift card works.

Most sites have a verification procedure for withdrawal. I don't know if PS does or not.

IMPORTANT ADVICE: Save all cards you use to deposit, even disposable one-use gift cards, as you may be required to photocopy them for verification on some sites.

PokerStars has great support, so just call them about deposit options and they'll help you. I know they are quick on withdrawals.

do you have a phone number for pokerstars they say on there site no inbound phones available email them and they will call you.

I don't remember how I got the number, but I think I got the cashier number right off the site. Lots of sites will have a number for deposits only but no other support. Or maybe I did the e-mail and they called me right back. That works too.
