Cashing Out via Check

Has anyone here ever cashed out from Full Tilt or Poker Stars via the paper check option? If so, did you encounter any problems with the method? And how long did it take to process and arrive in the mail?

pokerstars - never had any problems getting a check

usually takes about a week-10 days

i'm in the us,by the way , some of the checks are from canada which made the bank teller pause at my small local bank but no problem.

Recently made a withdrawal from pokerstars and actually received the check in 5 days and deposited it with no problems. They also ask that you deposit/cash check at your bank and not some of them check cashing places, but yeah no problems here.

Can you actually get a paper check if you've never made any deposits? All my $ started from a small freeroll a couple of years ago.

No you cant. you will have to make a deposit and then clear a certain number of raked hands to be able to withdraw ur freeroll winnings.

This is just wrong. You can withdraw from alot of sites with out ever depositing...

Yeah..I was also very curious say if you deposited in the past and you lose that money..Then you decided you wanna be a freeroller and make money off of freerolls and than wanna cash out.They have to let you withdrawl right?

DoylesRoom is claiming that you can cash out 100% w no deposit.

No problems here cashing out with FT. In the last two weeks I've received two paper checks and two direct bank transfers.

Does anyone know why that is?

"The reason why we recommend that players deposit their PokerStars check to
their bank account is due to the fact that most cashing stores may not have
the capability to successfully complete the verification process needed for
these checks.

Some cashing stores might not honor a check that could have been
successfully verified by depositing it into a personal bank account. So, in
order to avoid you any inconveniences when receiving your cashout, we advise
that you deposit it to your bank account for proper verification."

pokerstars told me i could withdraw my freeroll winnings with making a deposit, and now ur saying thats not true? some support staff they must have.

Wow I made my first cashout by check from Pokerstars on Sunday, and I got my check today, Thursday. The top of the check says "Andstar Inc., Rockville, Maryland."

FT works well with cashing out via check. The only problem I ever had was a check bounce once, and FT notified me immediately and credited my account with $25 to make up for any bouncing fees (which more than covered it) and sent me a new check speedily which cashed out fine.

Checks at P'stars and Full tilt have arrived quick and cleared in my experience.

What about Party Poker. I'v just moved from UK and i'v got some money in Party poker which i was going to leave but now changed my mind and want to withdraw it. The website says the check will be in US$ from a European bank so should be ok but i'd like to know if anyone has tried it
