BetOnline talk Ok, I know there are plenty of threads talking bad about them but it always seems the problem gets resolved and the player is paid unless they are suspected of breaking rules. I won $1.50 in a freeroll 4 weeks ago and ran it up to $1500 now. I was told I had to make a deposit of at least $100 and roll it over in the sportsbook side of the site. I know thats not the greatest news but its a business and I understand so I wanted to see if anyone else has done this with them. I am told after I bet the $100 (rollover) the rest of the money in my account will be available to me. Their live support has been great, they have walked me through fixing all the connection issues I had at first and the site runs great for me now. They seem to be fast and good with service so I am pretty happy with them. They told me I would have to provide proof of identity which is fine. Only thing they ever did weird was ask my username and password and as soon as I gave it I got logged off and pop up said user logged on from another location but I have all these conversations copied. Anyone have anything like this with them before? If not looks like I am going to just deposit the 100 and report back on the progress, I just wanted to make sure I did it all the right way if someone knew it Thanks

Why would you EVER give ANYONE your password? I find it hard to believe any legit site would ask for that. I hope you immediately logged back on and changed it. And if you use that same password anywhere else, I'd change those too.

re: BetOnline talk poker yeah, It didn't seem right but with limited options I am still playing there and just hoping when I do want to withdrawal it will work. At least its good practice, the games at 200nl and up are actually pretty good, little softer than on tilt or pokerstars but some pretty good regs as well. I think the sportsbook side brings more weak players so its a great site to build a roll fast on, even without bonuses and rakeback

I have an answer for you... I wouldn't be worried about them asking for your password, and here's why: giving your password a sportsbook thing, actually...I assume you're used to playing poker and not gambling on sports? Whenever you place a wager, especially on betonline.com (I am a long-time member of this site, among a few others and they all have the same verification process) they ask you for your username and password, both at the beginning (when you first access your account information) and then again at the end (in order to confirm the wager/bet you made as basically a "this is my final answer" kind of thing)...betonline was a sportsbook first, and then transitioned to poker when they realized it was a money-maker for them. As such, being a sportsbook first, they ask you for your password out of the habit/fact of it being a sportsbook, and that information is required as a second check (especially if they record the conversation you have with them, online or over the phone) to ensure that if the customer/gambler disputes they made a specific bet or whatnot the site have the confirmation on record and can justify not honoring someone's complaint that a wager was not made, when in fact it really was. Does that help?
