Agreed...however, I tend to save my chit-talk/get-in-your-head stuff for the golf course--just my style.

Very nice guy away from the table by all accounts. Australian too, which is obviously a redeeming feature

Anywho, I don't think he's any worse than Hellmuth or Matusow, and nowhere near as bad as someone like Sheikahn.

Tony G is to poker what Minnesota Fats was to pool. Love to watch and listen to him play, but wouldn't want to play against him.

This might have something to do with the fact Russia invaded Lithuania, think how you would react if someone whos country has invaded yours was sat across the table from you.

Im not saying he is right but poker can be a tense situation having to keep emotions in check and so forth.

I like like Tony G he does do some funny stuff sometimes, but Ive seen the way he treats his fellow pro's and despite the stuff he does you can tell he has a genuine love of both people and poker.

He isnt a nice guy in my book. He could have shut up after the guy was busted. The other guy showed a lot of class.

Define "problem" - I'm sure if he thought his table image was anything other than advantageous to his game, he'd drop the act overnight.

I don't see it as a problem at all. He worked hard to develop it, and plays it up fully

Is it bad that this made me laugh hysterically?

Edit: I do not pay much attention to poker on TV anymore. Seems like its never real poker anyways, just highlights. I hardly knew Tony G before this video, and now I am going to make a judgment based on what I saw. Tony G is not a nice fella.
Keep in mind that this is a judgment/assumption. If some of you say that he is a good person in real life, then I guess I have to agree with you.

Not exactly winning with class, but it makes for entertaining TV for us. I wonder if Tony G is embarrassed when he watches this after the fact?

i wouldnt mind someone acting like that during a hand but after someone is knocked out and for him to say "leave russian leave... he doesnt even deserve an applause" is a flat out disgrace. i have lost a lot of respect for tony g after viewing this video.

Tony G really is a nice guy off the Poker table. He is a friendly people person and has a big heart. What he does during the games is a strategy, a strategy thats has worked for him and made him 100's of thousands. Sometimes angering/annoying your opponent means winning half the battle. A c*nt in the game but the nicest of guys outside of it and I must say risking millions of people's perspective of him just to get an edge on the Poker table immediately earns my respect. I met him in Singapore, he was extremely friendly.

I have heard a lot of people say this about him. They say he is really nice away from the tables.

I don't mind trash talk but he goes a bit too far in this vid.
