Another great vid. I really enjoy the way your explaining some of the more complex intricacies of the game. Ok there wasn't many examples of this in this particular session of play, but your trying to get us thinking. Hopefully there will be some complex scenarios in the next 200nl vid ie, more 2 barrelling, 3 and 4 betting light etc.

As a newcomer to cash games, I really need to get away from 1st level thinking. You touch on this in your commentary and hopefully this will be repeated in future videos. Putting people on hand ranges etc is quite difficult for me as a noob, but watching these videos will hopefully increase my experience. Look forward to the next one. Cheers.

Just finished it, g stuff. Keep em coming - they're attracting new, info-hungry players to the site (see above ), as well as teaching some solid concepts to the regulars.

I'll be lookin forward to your 200nl vid.

Nice video, not quite as many tricky spots as the last one. I like you thinking of leading that 33 hand, to attempt to trap some dead money.

Keep them coming. Thanks again for this.

Really liked the vid, thanks. I specially liked the part about c-betting. I've always just made that bet as a habit without really thinking about it. Looking forward to the next one!

Thanks for another informative video. Especially found the ideas on c-betting and thinking about your opponents' holdings to be helpful.

hey daniel

dunno if it's just me, but that FT background, a confusing clash of colours, split into quarter screen looks like a kaleidoscope

wouldn't a plain background or racetrack theme be better for a vid?

easier to see what's happening where, easier to follow?

ain't knocking it, appreciate you putting the vids up, just my opinion, bit of feedback on the presentation

also, is there a reason you have the avatars on?

I've been away so I didn't get a chance to watch these until today, so let me add my thanks now.

I got the second vid first, and what impressed me the most right off the bat; your ability to talk about hands from the first vid while playing 4 tables. This from someone who only plays 2 right now. That's a level of experience and comfort that I can't imagine right now.

Great stuff.

Noticed that too, NL.

I've been trying to record some vids again (4-tabling STTs), and all I can manage to spit out is a thousand 'umm's and 'uhhh's between my barely helpful commentary. Mind you, STTs are a little harder with players getting eliminated and play going fast in the turbos, but I'm still slow anyways lol

Just comes with the experience of playing 4 tables for thousands of hands, I suppose. I used to not even be able to contemplate playing 2 tables, nevermind 4. A little practice and experience later, and I'm doing ok.

Just watched this now. Thanks again.

As said above, not too many tricky spots but the talk about the two theoretical hands played B VS B was great. Very interesting to think about the reasoning behind the betting in a more detailed way. Alot of players have an automatic respomse to certain situations without really knowing why.

Looking forward to the next one.

omg. dbitel used to 12 table NL200 on a single 19" monitor back in the day. people definitely play a lot less tables in vids than they do normally

Hi Daniel,

Just watched the second video after our coaching session. Like all have said, nicely done and your commentary kept up with things splendidly.

Questions on one hand:

You had AQ on the button and the CO (TAG-ish 15/12, doggie avatar) raised into you first in. I know your position was good, but what about your player read there? Could you explain your thinking on re-raising and not flat calling your AQ and on how you could be so confident doing it against a tight player like that? What would you have done if the TAG called the re-raise, saw the flop, and bet hard into you?

(As you can see here and from our session, I have a high value on reads. Maybe too high.)

When its folded to a TAGy player (even a sligtly tight 1) in teh CO, he'll be opening a lot more than 12% of his hands. If he had raised from teh BB or UTG, that would be different. Remember that the preflop numbers are an average from how often he raises in all positions, and folded to him on CO will be almost as loose as he raises, so I think his pfr will be nearer 25% there.

So in that way, AQ is doing pretty well there. Secondly, If I saw a flop, missed and he bet into me, I would fold. If he checked, then I would cbet and take it from there

nah its closer to about 16-18% than 25%, but still wide enough
