I am not an American but after seeing that video Ive realized what all this fuss is about. I had no idea it can be illegal to play home games, this make me sick.
I really hope anyone behind making poker illegal die a painful death!! How dare they say its a game of pure chance? They are all just SCUM SCUM SCUM!!

that is a load of shit! i know for a fact that playing poker in local homegames is only "illegal" is if the house makes money from it, for example charges rake, etc. my saturday home games are $50 8-10 player sitngos, and then $50+ side table cash games and not a dime goes to the host. every bit of the money is paid back to its top finishing players, which is totally fine. just thought you should all be aware, i do know this for a guaranteed fact %100, but im not at liberty to mention my source. ...i hate my country...thats all i can say to this...we can play the lottery becasue the state makes out with millions...the tax for the stupid...but i apparently cant play cards becasue they dont get a dime...

wow! and here in South Africa you can gamble at 18 and practically play dice games for cash on street corners and no one will bat an eye lid.

People organise poker tournaments and even advertise in their local paper and on facebook.

I get invited to more home games than I care to imagine.
