some ask if they wanna run it twice meaning two rivers, but usuall th ones asking are behind or have less outs, but it works like this, you have to win both rivers to win the pot if you both win one of the 2 than you split, i dont like it personally!

^^i think this is right but i could be wrong, if you listen they explain it in the video but i missed it

The river is just run 3 times instead of one, or even two. So if the pot is approx. 750k, they run the river three separate times for 250k for each river card. So, when the board paired twice, Jamie Gold made 2/3 of the pot with PA winning 1/3.

Doyle - "If my dad knew I was losing in this poker game he would jump out of the grave and beat the heck out of me".

LOL! Hes right. What a joke Jamie Gold was in that AA vs KK hand, made me want to punch him in the face twice. HSP is such a joke.

I love HSP, I think I have watched every episode on YouTube.

Has Gold done well in any other tournaments? At this rate he is gonna blow right thru the 6 mil that he had left from the main event.

Gold is a fluke. He got the damn luckiest run of cards in 2006 ME.

But to his credit, he played it right at the 2006 Main Event. I cant blame him or even hate him for that. He used the head games, acted like snotty high and mighty jerk, and it worked for him..very well too.

But you should see the first episode when he first comes in and plays HSP. They laugh at his amatuer-ism (yeah I said it).

I think Raymer is the only recent WSOP ME winner that I can respect. He was winning tourneys before he won the ME. Plus in 2005 he got close again through the second largest field in WSOP history. Got to give Raymer credit for that at least.

I actually like GSN's High Stakes Poker. I find it's the best poker action on television. With the amount of money flying around the table and the chatter when players like Hellmuth or Matusow are there make for an interesting show.

I used to think the same thing, I really liked season 1 and 2. But the 500K buyin makes everyone play like a nit, and when they do play a big pot, they run it 10 times.
Another reason Ive went off HSP, is that they show like 15 hands per episode.
