Celebrity players bring the LOLZ

Found both of these on YouTube yesterday, most amusing

James Woods mucks his winning hand:

YouTube - James Woods Is A Donk

Jennifer Tilly... well, you'll see:

YouTube - Jennifer Tilly Vs Patrick Antonius... Jennifer Tilly = donk

The look on Phil Ivey's face at the end of the second one is priceless

For the James Woods one, I would have showed my hand even if I thought I was beat. You are bound to miss seeing what you REALLY have. I'm surprised on Jennifer Tilly's play. She is usually a good player. Did she win a bracelet or something? Phil Ivey reaction says it all on how wrong it was when she checked on the river.

Did Woods even know he had anything? Even after he folded and saw the winning hand he looked like he hadn't even made a hand.

It looked to me that Jennifer was feeling a little intimidated being at that particular table. James Wood? I don't know what was up with that. He looked brain dead.

Exactly my point. When you are uber-intimidated, you play weak like that.

Probably true - seems like she's breathing pretty heavy at the very least. I figured it was a badly controlled "OMG, I've got such an awesome hand!" reaction, but the river kinda saw that idea off

Actually, Woods is a quality player, was even managing partner of a Hollywood poker room for a time. I was watching the episode of PPT that clip was from when it originally aired. James was having an awful night, hadn't won a single hand, i think he was busy looking for the nearest exit at that point.

I read in Bluff that the reason why J. Tilly checked the boat to P. Antonius was because her head was filled with P. Laak's words of wisdom that he had told her before the show. Mainly: keep the pots small and dont bet on the river, you'll only get called by a hand that can beat you. She has since worked on her river play, though, according to her.

I think she was just a bit intimidated. Maybe she didnt even notice she had a boat..its possible. Or maybe she thought P. Antonius had her beat with his preflop comment. I dont think its fair to say she is a bad player or the worse player EVAR. She made a mistake, it happens. We all do it from time to time.

Her reaction was the same one I have everytime I have jacks...she was probably thinking about folding the bas**rds. I was just surprised to see her give 2 free cards, but did I mention she had jacks .
