Analysis of bw's 50nl session

Two 50 hand 50nl sessions here, analyzed through the Poker Tracker hand replayer.

bw played a pretty aggressive style for full ring but I liked it.

Nice analysis Chuck and nice play bw...numbers. About the only thing that I didn't like that you did in the entire session was folding 55 UTG. There is too much money to be made hitting a set to miss an opportunity.

Oh yeah and nice Db name Chuck. Are you trying to say something about the play of bw there?

You see it at the end when you're looking at the overall session stats.

nice analysis chuck, only just got around to watching it. Nice info on the bet sizing, will have to start using the 3x BB + 1 for limper, +1 for OoP method. Thanks a lot for doing this for me.

Just watched this.

1. zomg $50nl is almost all preflop play? Is this standard?

2. Raising more out of position-- this is something I go back and forth with-- I understand that you want to play a "preflop" game with a big hand out of position, but I think you get called too often to make this a good idea long term. Maybe. (?)

3. I kind of hate the whole idea of analysis without looking at how the hands we didn't play went down. That is to say, I think reads (should) play way way more into your play than is possible in a situation like this. For example, a guy like mariosniper is someone I want to be involved with HU a LOT. Will PTv3 have stat overlay available in the replayer? Btw, I think you and open up 'Tourney Time' and have the stats available...

Btw, I think you and open up 'Tourney Time' and have the stats available... - This is definately true, I will play hands much, much differently depending on who I am playing against. If there is an ultra loose aggro at the table I like to get involved in pretty much any hand I have position on him with any reasonable holdings. If there is a nit, I stay out of his way for the most part.
My thoughts are highlighted above

Hey Chuck I just watched this, and I wanted to tell you I really liked your analysis and the way you described your thoughts. Doing the analysis in the Poker Tracker replayer, you mentioned the downside of not having stats on screen to help with reads, but, for a teaching video, I think you more than made up for this by pausing or going back a few streets when you needed to help explain your thoughts or point something out. In so many videos that are made by recording live tables, it's hard to follow the commentary on previous hands while action is continuing on the next one.

If you ever make more of these, I'll definitely watch them.

I liked bw's play and great video analysis - i often under estimate position and i liked his raising range. It's highlighted some weaknesses in my play, especially looking at hand ranges. The 77 set one, was of most use to me. The J on river was a semi scare card. But even if he shoved..you'd have to call cos he might have AJ, AK and to call for an inside straight draw was so unlikely with QT. So i need to start thinking at a deeper level to improve.

Thanks for sharing and i look forward to seeing more vids. These r a great help to me.
