Progressive Jackpot hiatus

Our Progressive Jackpot tournies are on a slight hiatus. Every time slot that I'm able to hold them is filled with a CC tourney. My baseball season is over in about a month so I'm either going to start them back up then (and double the jackpot) or hold a tourney for the winners of all the previous tournaments to compete for the current jackpot. Just letting you all know whats going on. I'll let you know when I make a decision.

PokerStarsPokerStars is amongst the best poker sites online that accepts US players. Use PokerStars marketing code CARDSCHAT for an exclusive $75 bonus.

Bodog PokerBodog Poker is one of the few poker sites accepting US players that also offers a Sportbook and online casino games.

Well if you do decide to cancel it, this would be pretty cool. What have there been, like 6 or seven games? Not too bad to have a 7 handed game with 3 places paying and like $40 bucks or something added to the prize pool.

Well that would be a majority rules type thing. I'm going to try to get them going again so hopefully we don't have to worry about it. I just gotta figure out what my personal schedule is going to bring.

For me at least the problem was with the new Saturday time slots. Fridays is usually no problem for me.

I was thinking Tuesdays or Thursdays but I'll have to wait for baseball to be over first.

Bump...I see Jim is on right now, so I figured this would be a good time to bump this and see what we are going to do with it.

Been just shy of two months since it went on hiatus, so guess I'm voting to just kill this thing and have a game for the previous winners as mentioned as an option in the OP. Any other thoughts?

I think at this point we need to just get have a tourney as suggested before for all previous winners, fork over the cash, and be done with it.

So good luck with that though.

In my opinion, this needs to get done ASAP, or else the ones who contributed to the jackpot need to be refunded. I realize I didn't play in any of these, but it's a little silly that it's taken this long to get resolved.

Sounds good to me. How about we play for it say 65%/35%.

So, if there were 4 games total, the winners were: List, Storm, reglarme, and was JD the 4th?

So divide up the jackpot, ship us each a ten spot, and bring down the curtain on the whole deal. OR, refund everybody back their $s, and yadayada. OR, we can keep pissin' and moanin' until this thread rivals owning a piece of somebody. And actually, this one's been hangin' longer, with no communication about it at ALL.

He has been online and posted in other threads - was even in here last night. Just hasn't responded to this one. Oh well - he will get the pm, surely he will respond to that.

I don't care about the $3 - he just needs to give the money back at this point - no matter who it goes to.

Technically it has not been won by anyone yet - so we could split the money up, or have one tournie for everyone who ever played and add the $40 to it.

However I would not protest any suggestions made in this thread. The only thing I wouldn't want would be for Jim to keep the money any longer.

Yeah, four games sounds about right. They were being done as filler between the PokerStars buy-in games, so there was one game every fortnight.

No, JD was the first.

I'd go for this if not a four way play off.

But regardless, it needs to get done.

Guys, I'm sorry I havent finished this thing up. I wanted to continue with the tournies but just never had time.

I'm sure that you don't want to hear a long story but wht happened was that we had some strong storms a while back and lost electric for about a week. I had my mom cash out my pokerstars to my PayTru card so I could buy gas for the generator. At the time I had forgotten about the Progressive Jackpot so that money was included (and spent).

JD reminded me about this a couple of weeks ago and I've been trying to get some money on PokerStars to get this rapped up. Money has been extremely tight here at home but I have gotten a pretty good paying job. At the moment most of my pay is going towards the 5 liscences I need.

I'm going to cash out what money I have on Bodog and when I get the check I'll put that on Stars to repay the money however you all want.

I apologize for all of this and I'm certainly not trying to rip anybody off.

It is 40$ chill out people i paid in as well as all of u We all know jim aint stealing it so just keep this in perspective. However it gets resolved all will be happy with it im sure.

Tbh this is between jim and the winners no one else so every one else doesnt need to get involved u have no claim to the monies.

Reason to save jim the flack is tht i never gave him the monies for a week i covered. i then left cc for a bit and now have no monies to pay it back i will take a week to cover this sorry for the inconvienience. i forgot i had the monies so soz

I will also cover ne other monies in the jackpot as well so i will set up tourny in 2 weeks for whoever in it to play for the cash

Stef,

Nobody's getting "bytchy" about the 2 bucks or whatever they're owed, I'm sure. It's the simple fact that an event was set up and not completed, and nobody was informed for the best part of three months as to what was going on.

Now obviously I can't stop you from running your own 'make up' event, but I really think Jim should be the one to sort his own mess out. I suppose the decision really lies with the people who actually put money into this thing though.

Jim,

I appreciate this was most likely an honest mistake on your part, but I hope you can appreciate that it doesn't look good when so much time passes and nobody hears anything. There are about three people on this forum I trust (it take a lot to earn my trust on the internet, as it's hardly a medium that's conductive to trust), and when someone who isn't one of these three people pulls something like this I get automatically suspicious. That said, it's good that you're actually posting in here now and seemingly trying to get the situation sorted.

In future, if someone is running an event like this and is anticipating a 'slight hiatus', get in touch with me, or someone else with a history of running events. We'll be only too happy to look after the event in your absence, and either hand the reins back to you or see the event through as applicable. What's not acceptable is letting three months pass by without a single public word.
