Wow, I always get outplayed so hard in these. Gotta love the shove where I think I have a good amount of fold equity and a ton of outs if he doesn't fold and I'm drawing dead

Thanks for that, Zachvac. It was a good play, but at the wrong time. I wasn't folding my weird full house to your nut flush draw.

I did put your chips to good use though.

Two weeks ago I got 1st in this thing.
Last week I did worse, only getting 2nd.
This week I improved.

Here's a pic with everybody:

Good game, all!

Addendum.
My wife's stupid little dog kept begging to go outside.
I took it out twice before the game, and once during a break. Not a drop of anything!

At the final table he kept begging and begging to go out, but I wasn't leaving.

The thing ended up crapping in a corner of the living room. I only found it a few minutes ago. So I guess I'm just lucky online.

lol.... my dog never wants to go out when I'm sitting in lp with 83os... but just let me get big pp or big ace @ UTG or UTG+1 and the "gotta go now" dance is sure to follow

Addendum. BTW...Very nice game!

You had a big chip lead on me, and you didn't exploit it properly. You should have applied more pressure, giving me hard decisions while taking my blinds.
I got the feeling that you were pretty much playing your cards, so I was able to take a lot of blinds/hands when you seemed weak.
Had you check raised me once I would have backed off some.

My wife's dog is half pug, half Pomeranian. It loves to poop in the house and loves giving false alarms about going outside so it can sniff around and chew on grass. If it weren't for the fact that he doesn't like returning home, I'd just let the stupid thing run around. (I live in the woods, so I don't have to worry about traffic).

Oh, and thanks. I enjoyed the game. I had actually made 3rd place my goal, so I could whine about doing worse this week again. I had a friend birding me and I remember with 4 of us left, I told him that I only wanted to outlast the short stack on my left. As soon as he was gone, the pressure was off.
I actually caught myself getting careless at that point. Then I thought, "WTF? Why am I not pressing hard for first place?" So I shifted back into gear and played the best game I was able to. I'm just glad it worked out.

congrats penguin (again ) and all who cashed good game .

and for the record isn't the penguin avatar just another stinking RB ?
no offense to the many many stinking RB's here that are also cc'ers .

I guess the new thing is " buy in whore " member of many forums , loyal to none . I guess thats all good as long as they don't display the .com on their avatar during our games .

I do not know who is and who isn't a rb and this is not directed at savage or any specific person , JMO

Beardyian is correct. It's from a Wallace and Gromit movie.

I am technically a member of Railbirds. They used to have great freerolls, which I hit all the time back when I had a tiny bankroll.

I have pretty much abandoned the site except for when I'm able to hit one of their Full Tilt freerolls (which is rare). I have no deposit on FT, and a few bucks from freerolls, but not enough to tinker with yet.

There is a *lot* of chaff in RB. If you took a pitted a random sampling of RB players against CC players I'd put my money on CC every time.

I don't have any disdain for RB though. Let them be happy doing their own thing. Maybe some of them will see the light and make the switch like I did.

I'll tell you what made me switch. It was the Hole Cards Revealed video that TenBob did, and the ones that ChuckTs did. I saw talent and migrated to the better learning environment.

I wish the entire final table paid, like it did two weeks ago. I mean, I'd have received less money, but I still prefer the idea of people getting rewarded for making the final table.

I just had the worst cooler of my life last night. I'm still steaming. I know several people were having coolers while I was on a huge heater. I guess now it's my turn.

Normally I force myself to take a break from poker for a few days, but:
1) I need to defend my title. (1st, then 2nd, then 1st)
2) Lost isn't on tonight so no distractions.
3) If I don't play, I'm sort of obligated to hit a low stakes game at the bar where I'll spend more on food and beer than I'll ever win.
4) Maybe I'll get some sort of masochistic pleasure from donking off my chips.

So see you guys at the table tonight! I fully expect to steam and get knocked out early. But losing only $3.30 seems like a blessing right about now.

Oh yeah... the rest of my life has followed my cards. Wife is sick, dog crapped all over the house last night, and someone hacked my server at work so I'm having to rebuild the SOB. Will be banging my head all day long getting this thing back up.

So seriously... tonight I advise everybody to slow play against me because I'm steaming at life and donking off my chips is inevitable.
