This site doesn't run itself. Those are the people that make this place what it is...favoritism?....sure, I guess it is....I prefer to call it a very small perk.

Or maybe some people deserve to have it before others?

even better read this:
IMPORTANT!! Password Release Information
Freeroll passwords are released to the general forum membership on the day of the tournament, usually a few hours (anywhere between 1-4 hours) before tournament start time. Please keep in mind that loyal members have early access to the passwords in most cases. Please do not ask how to become a loyaler. It doesn't help your chances. When you are one, you'll know.

I would like to remind everyone: we do not tolerate password sharing to unauthorized people. Furthermore, we do not take kindly to password begging (i.e. private messaging other people asking for the password, or repeat posting of "Where's the password?" several times). The information is readily available here in the forums.

So just be patient. The passwords will come.

Other requirements too

Hi all,
I think you might want to read up on some of the forum rules GBOBB44, also the requirements needed to get the password for the freerolls, you have to have a certain amount of posts with content before you can qualify for the freerolls. This is so that people don't just come and sign up just for the freerolls and don't contribute to the forum, i'm sure you would agree that this makes for a better community.
There is no favoritism here but I would say there is at least an order in which things are done, without a doubt the head honcho should be the one who registers first, followed by mods and loyalers, followed by the rest.

Hope this helps, check the forum out, there is a ton of useful information here, tips, strategies, humor, and rules, all there to help each other.

Welcome to the forum

Tony

First off, your entire post count consists of introducing yourself, and then waahing twice because somebody got freeroll pws before you. That's certainly condicive to special treatment.

Secondly, this is the Real Moneuy subforum, a your question concerns a CC freeroll, which has it's own tab, one spot up from rahtcheer.

Someone who refuses to use proper grammar and punctuation telling others to "learn how to spell" is essentially the pot calling the kettle black.

Welcome to the forum. Why all the hostility?

The people who have the password early earned it by contributing heavily to this site. Someday, you could be one of them. But this is not a good start. Stick around and make friends. I'm sure you'll find that this place is much more than passwords.

It (capital I) would be nice if(that?) people who live in glass houses wouldn't 1.throw bricks AND 2. walk around nekkid. BTW, just to show, I know how to spell n-a-k-e-d, also FYI, r-i-g-h-t h-e-r-e. I choose to write, and speak, mah (that's my) own way. As for yer (your) elders, I seriously doubt that your are older'n (older than) me, but either way, I don't recall telling you to shut up.......yet.

I made a plain statement of fact, which anybody may look up for themselves if they know how. Whatcha(WHAT DO YOU) THINNK, i PULLED THOSE FACTS OUT OF THIN AIR?

Enuff (enough), peace. I never engage in battles of wits with unarmed opponents.

i wouldn't call it favortism. i think its a perk for the members who are loyal and have contributed to site. everyone else gets the password when they post 15 quality post. it discourage those who just join to get the freerolls when they actually have to contribute. just start some good conversation and you'll Their in no time. the freerolls are GREAT!!!!!

I was brought up to work for what I got and not expect a free ride. You haven't contributed anything to the site, so you have no right to moan about getting the passwords a bit later than the 1000+ posters.

(P.S thanks for the reminder, i'm off to register now).

So this week the site is getting the bums rush because too many people have found and used a password to a freeroll, and must have known the password a while ago and thats a bad thing, as a lot of special people must have been told about it before hand.

Now go back a week - not enough people could get the password to a freeroll
and by all rushing the door at once caused the site to crash at which point the site was accused of holding onto passwords for too long and only giving them out to special people.

I THINK EVERYBODY NEEDS TO REALLY READ THIS!!

I got two cents to add I first joined this forum truthfully (1) to play in freerolls, I've got three kids the money I have I know is needed for them.(2)I wanted to learn or should I say I wanted to better my game, I spent time reading peoples blogs on poker I learned alot of useful things that I do use and helped me alot (3) I realized if I wanted to better my game I needed to play against good players, in regular freerolls you need to get past the first 3000 players to play with good players. Thats my first cent worth. I log on every now and then I don't always post but when I think I can contribute in some way I do but lately If an when I do post I get some A-HOLE who thinks they should critic what I said I seriously am thinking to just stop loggin in and quit. The last freeroll I played in on bodog there was another player who I believed was a black man solely because his avatar was a picture of himself being a picture of a black man I was suprised there where players making racist remarks towards him BASICLY WHAT I WANT TO SAY IS I DON'T WANT TO BE A PART OF THIS CRAP I used to like it here not anymore so to all you critics and racist shove it and I hope you never do smell the roses just your own crap!!!!

Just out of curiosity I looked back at your posts. With the exception of someone joshing with you no one has been critical to you. I wasn't at the Bodog FR but I can bet you that the person who was making derogatory remarks toward you wasn't a regular here.

You should have reported that person to support at Bodog for those remarks and brought it to the attention of the mods here. Going over past posts here will show you that posting remarks like that are not tolerated here.

Sometimes criticism does come a little heavy handed here. Take for example the OPs criticism. He is upset that some of us get the password before he does. He is opening himself for some shots. He is someone with a very limited amount of posts criticising a policy that has been here for a lot longer than many members here have been. The ones who get those passwords have invested a lot of time and passion to this site. If they get a reward for a job well done for what they did and do, why should there be criticism?

It takes time and effort to make it to loyaler status. There are something like only 60 members who are loyalers out of over 24,000 regular members. I don't think giving the few loyalers who play freerolls anyway the password early is going to take a seat away from some of the fly by nighters here. The people who are playing against them are playing against some of the best poker players on this site. They bring a high level to the game.

Criticism happens. You aren't going to get people to keep quiet when they disagree. I'm sorry that bothers you. But I don't think you will find a forum that has less critcisms than this site. That's one of the reasons I stayed here so long. Hopefully you will rethink you decision. But if you do leave I wish you well.

I would just like to add (as I did in another thread somewhere) that if abusive behavior is happening at our tables, I want to know about it. I do not tolerate that sort of behavior, and certainly lot rascists remarks. If no one reports it, how are we to know it's going on?

Hey, I read some of the replys, to you I'd like to say I'm sorry,it made me realize your right its not everybody. Things happened one right after another just made me think.I do belong to other forums everybody is pretty much helpful and generally look after each others back not critical of each other, but your right everybody is entitled to there on opinion and yea you should expect some sort of criticism, if you put it in that kind of frame. No the racist remarks where not towards me but another player at the table, the picture at the table he used was of a black man, I guess people assume he's a black man, some of the players didn't like it that he was winning. It just made me think do I really want to belong to a forum with members like this, its just my beliefs, guess you just can't please everybody in this world.I'd like to apologize to the members of this forum.I was just trying to bring to light some of the things that I've seen. I should have done it in a different manner, but I blew my fuse, so again I apologize.
