Contest for tournament with Tom McEvoy

I promised to pay an entry for somebody into the Pokerstars $10 buy-in next Sunday, May 18th which Tom McEvoy will be playing in.

It will be very simple. Just state in this thread why I should send you $11 so that you can play in the tournament. I will make a decision on who wins by 8pm Friday, May 16th so you will have time to plan for it.

You must have 15 posts to participate.

PokerStarsPokerStars is one of the best poker sites on the internet. They accept US players and using PokerStars marketing code CARDSCHAT you get a $75 bonus.

Full Tilt PokerFull Tilt Poker is the poker site the pro's play at. US players are welcome - use Full Tilt Poker referral code CARDSCHAT for a $600 bonus.

I would like the buy-in because I have never begged for money and being a noob at it, I know I should get it cause I've got no chance against tom and dakota is the sweetest prettiest most gracious and generous mod we have on CC. Wow I can't breath now for all the brown on my nose.

How can we compete with this, but I'll try.
If you give it to me I'll give it to ziggymom. Please give it to me so I can give it to ziggymom, that way we both win.

I'm just a poor college student doing this to pay my tuition.

Edit: Oops....sorry I meant to post this in the "Why are you stripping" thread. I don't have a reason why I should win this.

I always find the truth to be a good start.

My wife is leaving me next Saturday for three weeks to do some research. I need the buy-in for the Tom McEvoy tournament so that I have something to look forward to besides the lonely hours without the woman I love.

EDIT: The other reason is I have $0.00 and not likely to cash huge at PokerStars in the next 7 days.

Dakota,
I think you are wonderful for doing this for someone. I have only been a CCer for a short time but I am continually amazed by the helpfulness and generosity and the genuine concern that the members have for each other. In a time of less personal interaction and human relationships (ie email vs telephone calls, conference calls vs face to face meetings), I find Cardschat to be a beacon of light in the darkness. If only every forum (heck if only my extended family) cared about each other as the members do here, it would make such a difference. I have only been here a short while (and only playing poker for a few months) but I plan to be here a long time. That said, I think you will pick the right person (not me) and what an extraordinary example you are setting for the rest of us. Good luck to all and see you at the tables.

I blew my bankroll on CC events $5 for CCCOP1, CCCOP2, $10 buy in today, etc, etc. I am good supporter of CC events. Plus I promise not to be a donkey and suck out on Mr. McEvoy .

Nice post, jim -- I second that! However, I would like to say that, imho, a "contest" should be about just a little bit more than merely begging for money. . . . Anyway, I'm sure you'll find a deserving recipient, and I'm planning on hi-jacking his/her chipstack once the tourney gets going.

Well.... i think that you should send me the buy in because currently my pokerstars account is it $0. I would really much appreciate the experience to play along side with Tom McEvoy and some of the best at Cardschat. I would like the chance to show everyone my true poker skills. Also i would be willing to donate 50% of my winnings (if i win) back to CC to hold another event.

It's not really begging when I ask them to do it.

Honestly they are all on target - I just want to enable somebody to play who otherwise could not.

Count me out. I will be depositing this week and can see this is the only way others will have to play. Good luck to the others and thanks Daxx

PokerStars I still will not play like a donkey. I don't want to be known as the guy who sucked out on Tom McEvoy at CC (If I even have a chance to go against him).

awesome thing, debi - and despite this tourney being way out of my bankroll requirements, i am not asking for the money (this time). just a post here to bump this a little and to express (again) my amazement at the wonderful community we have.

(and i say zorba ftw - more winners = more fun)

Yes, I know its $10 - I won $5 in WVHillbilly's freeroll whore contest last week. He told me not to spend it all in one place. Well I can say I did, and didn't... $2 gone on cash game, $1 on a Ferguson, and $2.50 on a couple of SnGs....

I had a bad weekend.
