The 'I Eats' seem to be a poker team or a group of friends, the ones who were eliminated early were observing and cheering on the ones who were still in, definatly different people.

I played in the same one after my brother went out and I got my laptop back from him.I dont see how it matters where u play from as long as its only one player from there at a time not multiple players on at the same time ON the same........

New to this

This thread has me wondering about the security of these sites....how concerned should I be?

Interestingly enough they actually didn't chat together...I was at a table with you and when I questioned the player they would not answer, but the player cheering them on would. In other words still a bit shady.

There is a private tournament at FullTilt where everyone in it i(30 of them) is I Eat something or other. Aug 3rd 20:30. Looks like a club to me. You certainly don't need that many to cheat and a naming convention designed to get you noticed wouldn't be all that smart. This way, they can all spot one another, without knowing all the avatars.

All sites should be checking IP Addresses. If you're on the same network, they can see that. That is going to raise red flags and get you extra scrunity.

Most sites ban play from the same IP address (and from multiple IP's within a corporate IP space) within the same tourney...my kid wanted to play the same freeroll as me but we were NOT allowed ....which is a good thing even though we'd have played HARDER against each other than vs. others ( Both my kid & I are EXTREMELY competative .... I wonder where he got that from.... )

so unless you have two dialup accounts and two phonelines, most cases you CAN'T cheat....however, it is NOT uncommon for these "donks" to sitout one account and "allin donk" with the other....when they get tanked one the first account, they log out and login as the other.

....now if they spent as much time working for minwage at the local Qwikie-Mart as they did setting this all up, they could DEPOSIT some money and NOT have to do this kind of BS

My business partner and I will often play tourneys after we close up shop, same IP, different computers. We are very compeditive with each other so collusion is a non-issue we play each other harder than anyone else. The only time we were at the same tables was SnGs, I knocked him out on the bubble he was pissed. FT has never had a problem with us using the same IP addy although if ther was a complaint about collsion they probably would.

yeah, but when you are playing a private CC tourney, and you see these duplicate names, who are clearly not members of cc, join in, which raises the number of entries, and raises the possibility of cc members not placing in the cc tourney money. If these non-members are not even players at all, but instead auto-bots then cc members not placing in the money ensures that some of the "100 dollar free-roll" does "not" get paid out.

Just some of my own rambling thoughts.

they will have log with your ip and also mac address, so if you play from same ip on some pokersites they use this but on some they will not let you play with few accounts if they are comming from same ip

It really seems to me, folks are more worried about the other guy - and less about the hosting company. Why is everyone just glossing over the fact that the host can cheat?? The system is broken. It should be fixed. Question Authority!!.

No, what you describe is perfectly legitimate. As long as none of you are working together or sharing information (and you're playing from different locations as well), then it is a level playing field and all is good.

I will add that I had signed up for two accounts at Full Tilt. One account had been closed by them because of a Neteller issue, and I hadn't used it for months. I started using the site again under a "new" account. I was "caught" when I tried to cash out ( address, names were the same). After the issue was cleared up with the "old" account, my "new" account was closed, all funds were transferred to the "old" account and was able to complete the withdrawal. Was not trying to cheat or use both accounts at the same time, Full Tilt knew that.

When my brother visits, we just play in different tournaments. No big deal.

This guy once told me that he used a program vmware or something like that... and other one that changes his IP. Beware guys..if this is true... i can see alot of cheaters on the table.

Some duplicates are legit

I play under the name pigpen02 because I used pigpen on the first site I ever joined. When I joined a second site, pigpen and pigpen1 were taken so I used pigpen2. At the third site, pigpen2 was used and I used pigpen02. So far, I have not found a duplicate at other sites I have joined, but who knows. So, you might find a pigpen, pigpen1, pigpen2 and pigpen02 in a tournament and at least I am none of the others.

My name njdevil87 was on that giant list and I'd just like to clarify that I only have one acct on full tilt. Don't even have any real money in the acct except for the 75 cents I won in one of the freerolls. No point in having multiple accts if you don't have money in the acct.

Hi all, yeah I definitely agree with Crummy, me and my g/f play in the same tourneys and have never been seated together. And like Crummy said if that were to happen, we would do the right thing. Good spotting the above mentioned cheaters...Integrity? Its needed everywhere.

If you are two seperate people please inform us, and to everybody we are not singling anybody out, just trying to keep out the double table players and cheaters. Agian, we are not calling anybody cheaters, please clear up the air if your name is on the list, or if anybody has anyone else to add please add them.
If you're playing freerolls,it's way too early in your online career to try and police cheaters, concentrate on how many outs u have.Cheats catch themselves in all walks of life dont waste much needed energy on somthing that takes care of it's self.GL FreeRollers. Most of us started the same way.

Wow - awfully judgmental for someone who just recently joined.

Just because someone plays in one of our freerolls doesn't mean that they aren't a solid player. I think that you will find some of our regulars to be among the best competition that you will run into, and yes, some of them play the freerolls in addition to their "normal" limits.

(and LOL that just I got pulled into replying to a 9-month old thread...)

i know a bunch of people that used to go on pkr and enter tourny's and they would all be on skype with headsets and tell eachother what cards they had, they used to target certain tables and make alot of money,i find this worse than multiple accounts because no matter how many accounts you have, if u suck at poker u suck at poker, lol

There is an explanation for I Eat names, they are a "poker clan" from railbirds. I was at one time an active member, but I can tell you that none of the people mentioned are the same person, I myself am from Pittsburgh, Trees lives in Florida, PorkChops I believe lives in Michigan, and I don't know about hot sauce. I am no longer interested in "clan poker" but decide to keep my name nonetheless.
