Thanks CC!

For the $50 I won in Wednesday's Bodog freeroll!

It's my first real bankroll, before this I was mostly a freeroll player and never won enough to get a proper start. Since then I've managed to turn it into $150 playing $25NL ring games.

I really feel like it's done wonders for my game - the biggest improvement has been my confidence, this has proven to me that I can win and that my short-lived freeroll winnings weren't just flukes. Now I trust my instincts and I'm not as scared to make moves that I wouldn't make before.

CC ownz!

Congrats on the win and build that BR

be careful of the cash games - money disappears a lot quicker there, may try a few SNGs and build up your game etc there as well

Good luck

Congrats on the win. And yes, definitely get your $150 under some Bankroll Mgmt guidelines to keep from giving it back. You should be able to simply keep building it up from where it's at.

You are not really rolled enough to play safely at these limits.

These poeple are giving you good advice. Take heed, they know what they're talking about. These people on this forum can guide you better than any site I've found. They are solid players and nice about sharing their knowledge. Don't dismiss it lightly.

Well you guys were right, the winning streak came to and end; the good cards stopped coming, the donkies started calling me down to the river to hit their flushes, everything that could go wrong has. I'm not completely broke, I still have $75, but my bankroll has been up and down reaching extreme highs and lows over the last few days.

I'm going to take a couple days break from poker to clear my head, the added pressure of trying to build my bankroll back up has screwed up my game I think. I find myself forcing the action, trying to take down pots that I shouldn't even be involved in, betting over-aggressively, and when I lose a big pot I go into huge tilt until all the chips are gone. It's ironic, the the reason I'm losing so bad is because I want so badly to not lose.

When I do come back I'm moving down to the $10 tables, I realize this probably isn't how Chris Ferguson would do it but I suck at SnGs (or the SnGs at Bodog suck, I haven't figured out which yet) and these are the lowest limits Bodog has.

I've been playing $10 tables ever since my $30 bankroll hit $75, since sng's are not my thing.

I'm now at just under $200 and it's only been a week and a half. At this rate, I'll hit $500 (and then move up to $25 max) by next month. Trust your skills enough, and let it build up slowly and more stable, it works.

Read my blog in my sig if you'd like, it contains daily logging of all my sessions.
