SIT OUT TOURNEY AT POKERSTARS !!!

Hi all ,

i and two other guys had a super table.... 7 Players are sitting-out...

Also we saw a table with 9 !!! and one with 8 !!!

That sucks and if this is the result of a freeroll for people with just 1 post...

Please change it !!!!

I want to play and not to sit out or just take blinds..

How it was on other tables ?

My table was all sit outs to begin with then a few limped in, I don't feel like I was stealing blinds. After we got some players the game was good, I made the cut but was also one of the highest chip count at the end, but I only got maybe a few 1000 from the sitter outers, the rest I won! But it did suck I agree.

as an avid player of pokerstars about 2 out of 10 games will be like that. they have a volume of people that run through there it gets like that. the sites that don't have as many people in there site well seats arent so empty are they .

yes the sitters were a bummer but like nick said was a test...
and pokerstars will never change ,,too bad they dont have something like Absolute, or Ultimatebet to get rid of people who dont show.

One way to eliminate the sitters is to not release the password until and hour or two before the first heat, etc. Also, a change in password for the heats would help too.

If someone gets the password and the tournament is an hour later they will most likely still be round their computer rather than out somewhere because they forgot about it and registered 3 days ago.

Yeah guys finally we see us at the final and i am happy that i did it in the Heat A ....

Don't have to do this again two times lol

It was nice playing with you too Tamster and i hope we see us at the final....

And to chicubs: It is a good idea to release the password later.

I hope Nick do some changes there

Sitters

At my table I had 7 people sitting out. It's not that fun playing with only one other person and they're really playing tight, not wanting to go out. I was just basically winning blinds while the others were off doing their own stuff. I got knocked out though. oh well.

i kinda like the sitters at the beginning. then you get use to it and once the hands are 3 handed, i start to cry.

note the HUGE amount or sarcasm here

I was registered for the heat C, but I had to work over so I missed it. I am sorry I had to sit out, but what could I do.

I also think issuing the password an hour or a couple of hours is a good idea to avoid this.

I got to watch some of the heat when I made it home, it sucks I had to miss it.

With the nature of PokerStars, and "the freeroll gang", releasing the password only a few hours before will only lead to loads of "where is the password spam", this freeroll wasn't really intended to be a major community event, more a welcoming of newcomers if they were interested. I deliberately did it this way because it was simply exposure for the site. I'm sure we'll have a great time in the Final

Sitouts are the nature of freerolls. Even paid tournaments with low buy-ins have some sitouts. I am glad I have one less person to beat. Even from a competition standpoint there will be plenty of great players that are not sitting out for me to test my skills against. I don't ever say no to easy chips.

my table was sitting out as well, however, me and this other player just chatted and we took turns stealing the blinds. it didn't seem worth it at the beginning, but we got up over 4k by the time people came back or we got moved to a different table. even though sitters still suck, that experience was fun

who knows the circumstance, i was late for a password tourney on several occasions by a few hands, time zones play a part too IMO of how you see some limp in, i for one like the password in advanced i share my home pc and if my parents know in advanced of a tourney they are fine with me playing it, i do sitout for a few hands every tourney because i cant smoke in the house.

Sitouts

Well you will always have people who are unable to make it in time to the tournament. The ones that really bothered me were the ones who were at the tournament and then would win a hand or two and sit out most of the tournament until the blinds would eat them up in hopes of making the cut. It is really sad that they feel justified in doing so. I completly understand sitting out to go to the bathroom or take a smoke break or whatever but most people who sat out didn't fit into these catagories. The realy problem is there isn't much we can do about it seeing as its all online and regulated by whatever site we end up using.
