Dude, chill out. You can't blame Cardschat. In your other thread, I posted what I witnessed at your table. There's not much else that can be done. But if you think the whole forum is like that, you are gravely mistaken. You can't assume the whole forum is bad just because of a couple of jerks.

Sorry you had morons at your table... try not to let them get you down.

I went out with QQ on a J high board to A7 and a runner-runner flush, but I'll get 'em next time

This is a FR its hard to have control over who is there or not...did you get their name? I bet you they are not even a regular CC member as I know we don't behave like that.

Turn your chat off and enjoy the game.

MrSticker caught part of the chat and posted it, so if they are members, I'm certain that they will be dealt with.

This is another good reason (in addition to the fact that it's against the rules) against sharing the passwords to the CC events.

This is one of the reasons I came over to Card Chat. I was playing a Bodog tournament and this idiot was coming on trashing everyone. Name calling. Letting people know his hands. I asked if he was part of any forum. He said Cardschat. I checked it out and thought well if idiots like this are playing on the freerolls I should jump in because they are the types that donk off their chips to you.
Sure enough that joker lost all his chips and complained all the while doing it. You want these idiots at the table with you. I mean I like a well conducted professional table. I love the sport. But dont forget its about winning and these are the jerks that are going to build your stack until the second half of the tournament where the better players will be. Dont blame cardschat from what I can see it is a very well run board and very educational. I am lucky to run into it.

You do know that you can click on any user and mute their chat. Or turn off the observer chat if that's where the harassment is coming from. That's the best solution, after reporting them to Ultimatebet of course.

- The same rules that apply on the forum apply to forum games. If you see someone being offensive in the chat, take a screenshot or copy/paste and send it to a mod, and we'll take appropriate action.

- Report the guy to the site's support. Dunno about Bodog, but Stars and FT are pretty liberal at handing out chat bans for offensive stuff.

- Mute the offender's chat.

- Deposit some money and play the money added forum games. Freerolls by their very nature attract a large volume of idiots - the regulars who play the money added games (and indeed the newer people who play) are far more accomodating and pleasant than their freerolling counterparts.

- Long all caps posts make my eyes bleed.

. Besides, the level of play in the CC money games seems far better than what you can expect at similar buy ins in regular games, which is great for learning purposes. And the fields are much smaller.

I'd have to say Cardschat is about the friendliest and most helpful forum I've come across. I played in the Ultimatebet freeroll. There was a little neelding and banter at my table, but nothing outrageous. One guy had connection problems and kept timing out, which irritated a few, but even then the complaints were mild and respectful.

You're always going to run cross abusive players, moreso on line than B&M. They often tend to be loose-aggressive. I've actually enjoyed some of the colorful insults that some of the more creative ones come up with - very entertaining. Irritating you is often a strategy. They're trying to put you on tilt, to make you want to "show them" or punish them. If you keep your cool, you're likely to profit from such players.

And if you just don't like it, mute their chat. I think it's usually best to keep chat on so you can pick up and take advantage of developing emotional vibes, but you just might play better without it.

As far as revealing their cards while the hand is still going on - if they're in the hand, that's legitimate posturing. The general rule is you can reveal your hand (as long as you're not honest about it). It can be part of a bluff. If they're out of the hand and revealing hole cards, that is a rule violation and worthy of a complaint to the site. Revealing a folded hand after the hand's over is also legitimate, but must usually be taken with a grain of salt. I must sadly confess that I often lie in this situation. If I pull off as successful bluff, I will falsely affirm that I indeed have what I represented. Yes, I know it's scurilous. I must do pentance.

I thought the freeroll was better than most and the level of play was good. There wasn't much of the mindless early-game all-ins you see in most freerolls. It seemed people really wanted to learn, play well, enjoy the game and get as far as they could.

As to Cardschat, one of the things I like about it a LOT is it's manageable size. I find some of the other forums just overwhelming in volume. There are interesting discussions here that are not too hard to follow, and they don't drown in a sea of indecipherable junk. The threads I've been following show a healthy exchange of opinions with a good analytical basis and a friendly attitude towards those who disagree.

I gotta say I also like the calendar. Very well organized.

Actually, on most major sites (if not all) you are not allowed to ever discuss your hole cards while the hand is still in play. Doing so and being reported could get you anything ranging from a warning all the way up to forfeiture of a score, depending on the poker room and the actual circumstances.

Not being honest about what you have doesn't protect you here - the same penalties can (and probably will) apply.

Our forum here is by far the most friendliest and most helpful, that I have been to.

Also if you are in a CC event and a player is being abusive, screenshot it and let a mod know about it. They do a pretty good job enforcing forum rules. (A lot better than some forums in fact).

Hope you have a better experience next time around.

See you on the felt and good luck.

Some of the tournaments, including buy-in tournaments, are less than friendly. The Titan buy-in yesterday was an example of that. Whilst not actually being subjected to abuse, it still certainly couldn't be described as "friendly". I'm glad that your experiences have been good, though.

Well I'll give a couple of examples:

1. "GL guys and gals " - totally ignored...

After a little more chat has taken place, I try again:

"GL guys and gals " - eventually kozlo6pack responded, so after two efforts one out of eight people have responded.

2. "So is katymaty different to pokerkat1?"
"Why, are you a stalker?"

Gee, these people are really friendly, this is the friendliest forum I've ever known in my life! [/American accent][/sarcasm]

Trashy players

There are a lot of idiots who play online its just too bad they couldn't be filtered to all play at the same table. Sorry for your luck but don't hold it against all poker players especially the ones logged into cardschat. Good luck in future tourneys.

Can`t speak for the others, but I missed that. Must have been watching my other table at the time. Sorry.

She was joking. If you recall, I then made some remark about the red dress her Titan avatar was wearing and there was some banter about it.
