Posting for freerolls

Chiefer, I like the idea of it being a requirement to post for freerolls. The only problem I would have is that being fairly new to poker itself, I have spent the last 6 months since I joined the forum in July to going through the site and trying to better my game through the strategy articles and the advice given by others here. Other than the occassional thank you, I don't think that I could have given a "quality" post up until now.

ugh im caught redhanded. so i went broke and discovered the private freerolls. yes i was being shady and only wanted the passwords, free cash why not right? wrong. i was taking away the chances of many regulars who post here everyday and realized that karma is a bitch. i am a firm believer in karma, so why was i looking for a hand out? Tilt i guess. But i have become fond of this forum most because there are so many people out there that APPRECIATE the game and not just the money - money is nice though, its a reward for playing well. I've read alot of blogs and posts on this site and it has helped my game tremedously. so here i am "paying my dues" i suppose. do i have to post, no. but what kind of a person would i be if i didnt. im trying to make it at cards, its been my dream for almost 6 years (im 23 now). i used to host poker games in my basement in high school w/o the Units knowing.

my name is fatboy and i'm a pokerholic...what?

The requirement at a different forum was that a certain number of posts got you into a certain member group of those that qualified for the private freerolls. All those in this group would be able to view a sub-forum that released the weekly passwords an hour before the tourney started. A very solid system that worked like a charm

Been there, tried that. It doesn't work if the post number is anything that won't take you half a year, because people try and spam all the junk posts in the space of ten minutes.

Yes, of course those do exist. Fortunately the other forum held together pretty well. I guess I'll continue to try and think of some options. Maybe just PMing the password to a select group that you know are long-term contributors (or are going to be )

i don't get the chance to post as much as i'd like to. life in general keeps me busy.

it just baffles me, that people want to play this game for a number of reasons. why not learn more about the game at the same time. this is a great forum. it has helped me tremendously.

Big chip stacks

EVERY TIME I PLAY IN THE FREE ROLLS AT BODOG, I HANG IN THERE UNTIL THE LAST 200 OR SO AND THEN SOME ONE WITH A BIG STACK KEEPS RAISING HIGH. EVERYONE JUST KEEPS FOLDING. I KNOW THE GUY CAN'T HAVE THAT MANY GOOD HANDS, SO I WAIT FOR MY CHANCE AND THEN HE NAILS ME WITH TRASH CARDS. IT REALLY TICKS ME OFF, BUT THEM I REALIZE HE EARNED THE RIGHT TO DO THAT WITH HIS BIG STACK. OH WELL MAYBE I'LL NAIL HIM NEXT TIME.

The time was

Hi from Oz(Australia), You know the time was a problem for me as I was commuting to work 110 miles each way. So I didn't get much time to be on the computer, but having been put out of work 3 days before Christmas(TYVM) I now have the time to be reading and posting. No chief not all freerollers are freerollers by choice. But hopefully not for too long. good luck nice people.

the point of my thread was not to b--ch, it was to simply get some new blood in here. to get some fresh ideas and thoughts on poker related subjects. to help the people that continously join our forum to take advantage of the freerolls without contributing. i for one love to read new posts from new members.

if you have 4 or 5 hours to devote to a freeroll, then you certainly have time to post a decent though or 2 on the forum. IMO.

Just finished a 2700 person freeroll. Competition got fierce and mostly donkey free in the last three tables. But that wasn't a CC freeroll and, also, I guess you are not trying to encourage me to post more, are you?

HOLA

Hi all, I played in a couple of CC freerolls, placed 4th in Bodogs Jan 9.
I remember one hand: I was in bad shape before the final table, pushed with qk in late position and got called by ak. I doubled up obv, the bodoglife is great!.
