Free Rolls suck

Yeah man sometimes they do, for one they take forever and most people sit out, after all the people that are done sitting out are gone, its a rush to the money. At that time all the people usually go all-in and cross their fingers in hope's they get lucky. Towards the end its just luck somewhat unless ur way above the average in chips you'll be guaranteed money.

freerolls suk

yes they do/its the players that dont want to play the 5 hrs that go allin everyhand with crap and then sit for an hour or go have coffee that make it bad i believe.Freerolls should be 2 hours long .Make speed freerolls .why not i believe it would take care of most donks. i know right now i dont have time to play 10,000 player freerolls that last 6 hours.just my opinion.gl

you have a point and if you search this topic on here you'll see a lot of views on what can be done to make freerolls better, although the best alternative is to belong to this forum and play in CC's freerolls which usually arent that big of feilds and have some decent players ecspecially the loaylers or regulars(there are other good members as well)......

btw is bubbabucks a super account used by buck and bubbasbestbabe.....j/k lol

I'm just tired of playing them and losing to the donks all the time. I know everyone says play TAG and you will profit. Been playing freerolls for a couple of years and I'm still waiting for more hands won, and less suck out losses.

I need to take a break from poker, cause I have the urge to throw something everytime I lose to a suck out.

well here sometimes Pokerstars CC freeroll but usually thats over 600, The Ultimate Bet freeroll this evening is most likely under 600 people, and the bodog freeroll that is held usually today is always under 600 people.

Other than that any freeroll online or on the big sites has an insane amount of people so...i say play here!

ooh ok well heres the deal we dont openly hand out passwords like this, but i wil tell you how you go about getting it the right way!

1st of all the password is not released untill about 4 hours before the tournament starts maybe even less.

Then you have to retrieve the password, name of tourney, and time, in the Cardschat Freeroll section/Freeroll password sub-forum.

In here look for the Ultimate Bet Section

Also dont forget to check here A brief guide to Cardschat forum events. Please read before posting! so no one has to help you againg or you can help others that are like you now...

Freerolls can be very frustrating, no matter what site you play them on.
Over the last year or so I have cashed in several of the Full Tilt freerolls by being VERY patient for the first hour (playing ONLY premium hands).
This has allowed me to add to my bankroll and enable me to keep playing.

Most of the freeroll players (as well as those who play for the WSOP free seats) are gambling, they figure it doesn't cost anything so they go all in with just about any hand.

The worst part about this is it can make YOU play a very loose and dangerous game and it can carry over to your live games at real tables in a casino.

Just look at the free rolls as practice, study the hands, place your bets based on the hand, the situation, odds and as much as you can, on the player.
If nothing else your game can get better

The monthly Titan $1,000 freeroll starts in about four hours, and there are 24 people registered for it. Need to not have a Titan account, then sign up for Titan via the Cardschat link, and deposit.

To bad

I always thought free rolls would be better if site would make a person do a min deposit of 10 a year to participate in there free rolls, it would def get rid of the lot that are not to serious about playing

freerolls do take a very large amount of time to do, but it helps you practice for real money. helps you strategies and it is definitely a good feeling when you hit the money in the freerolls (if it is a worth while amount)

right now they suck bad

ok so I do 3 freerolls on Ultimatebet today. Each one I start out good playing good quality hands.

First one I get Ad,10d. I'm on the button and 5 limp in so I raise 3 X BB. get 3 callers. flop comes out A,5,8. first two check so I bet minimum bet. both call turn comes some type of rag.

I raise guy to my left goes all in. I call. he wins with A,8 off suit.

Freeroll number 2. guy raises 250 chips, I have QQ so I call.
goes around another guy goes all in, first raiser calls, guy next to him calls, and I call.

cards flip over original raiser has A,7 off, next guy has 10,10, I have QQ, and first all in guy has A,5.

flop comes out and helps no one, turn comes a freaking A, now im sunk, river is a rag. damn my luck.

freeroll number 3. i'm button with 4h,2h 3 limpers ahead of me. flop comes up 5c,8h,9h raise by guy next to me for 40, so I call. turn Ah I now have a flush. I check next guy goes all in. guy next to me folds, I call. cards flip over I got a flush other guy has A,5 off. yeah you guessed it a 5 on the river and the moron A,rag player hits a full boat to beat my flush.

If I play A rag I lose every time. I play against A rag I lose every time. what good does it do to play good decent hands if your going to constently lose to the morons. I have almost had it will online poker.

Of course everyone says play real money. The sad part is I don't have the bucks to play the upper levels, and the lower levels are no better than a freeroll.

I'm at a point in my poker life where I feel I should just hang it up because the frustration just isn't worth it.

Seems the only games I enjoy are the ones I play against fellow cardchat members in the freeroll's and $5 Ultimatebet buy in.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Maybe one of our statistical geniuses (genii?) can tell us what the odds are of QQ winning against those 3 other hands all in pre flop, but in that situation I wouldn't be surprised if I lost. (Yes, I know that you didn't say that YOU were all in). With QQ I usually try to see the flop, and if any aces appear I back off in a big way.

Assuming it was also A5o, QQ was 71.5% to win, so it will lose 3 out of 10

Don't mean to be mean but you aren't ready to play for $$$ yet.

1) W/ 5 limpers ATs is not a raising hand. If you do raise make it 10xBB here. Don't min bet on that flop, bet 3/4 to full pot and fold to a reraise.

2) Don't limp QQ, make what should be your standard raise 3x-4x

3) Bet your flush on that turn but I doubt that you would have foled out the 2P so this is just a cooler.

Thanks for such a quick reply, I'm really surprised that QQ is such a strong favourite against three other hands...
