At Bet365 did you have to make a deposit?

Freeroll cashout summary ???

ok, so with all thats been posted on this subject, does this sound like it sums it all up: "I play some freerolls at a site, I accumulate around $65. I want to make a withdrawal of some of these funds, first I have to make a real money deposit at this site and wait anywhere from 7-30 days (depending on policy), and then its all mine. Does this sound about right? Anyone?

TOTALLY depends on the site! Some sites let you do whatever you want with your freeroll winnings others make it virtually impossible to withdrawal them. You just need to read the fine print or emila each site's support and inquire about their wager requirements!

Wish someone would of made me read this a year ago. Had to learn all this the hard way.
But I am doing very well now and your posting is very good.

Watch out for the freebies that are not that free.

This is one that happen to me at noble poker it was not that big of a deal but really messed me up for a day.

Made my min deposit to clear my winnings and they gave me 5 dollers for my deposit.
Wrong what they did was stop me from with drawing now I had to play raked hands for that 5 they gave me.
Held up my withdraw for 24 hours

If your not having fun playing poker you shouldn't be playing

I hate how some sites require you to contribute AND see the flop in order for it to be considered a 'Rake'. I normally read and call every site in order to determine withdraw and rake policy since they try to be as confusing as possible. a lot of the sites that give players free money have insane withdraw requirements. Some are even more devious... Like pokerhost that will let you use your pre-deposit winnings to play real money tournaments, but even if you win 1st place in a 2500 GP you will still have to rake those winnings since the money used to pay for the tournament was considered "promo" money still..... Yes, this has happened to me lol..... so research every site before playing.
Oh btw... a lot of sites wont let you withdraw to neteller without first making a deposit,,,, BUT you can ask them to mail you a check, which they will do without a deposit. something to do with neteller fee's that are paid for by the merchant(ie poker site)

You know the ole saying "Nothing In Life Is Free" always check the fine print it's there for a reason. Just take a little time and read all guidelines for each poker site before playing any freerolls, why waste the time only to find out the money is not yours for the keeping.

Thx all

Some great tips here, required reading for all newbs I would think. I have been looking into all this raked stuff and how it changes from site to site, it's too easy to confuse an old man like me, so more posts like these would make my day no week no even my year as I have only justed started to play poker online too.

Lucky for me my 2nd place $500 @ CD Poker was won after I had pot $30 on the site, not tried to move it yet, but set up with Neteller after reading about it in the articles page.

Thanks cardchat with your help I might be able to make some good money in 2006.

Hi all,

I would like to add Pokertime to the list of the deposit before withdrawal on the free money. No offense to Pokertime because I do understand it.

Here is the email I received after trying to withdrawal my "winnings" from the Charity event for Josh and his family................

Hi Tina,

We refer to your withdrawal of $33 on your Poker Time account number *************

We’d like to inform you that the amount you have requested to withdraw constitutes Free Money, which you have received as a promotional offer.

Our Free Money offers (including but not limited to free poker credits, prizes, or service credits) have raked hand requirements which need to be met before they can be withdrawn.

You also have to purchase a minimum of $20, before you will be allowed to withdraw the Free Money.

As a result, we have reversed the amount of $ 33 back to your Poker Time account.

For more information regarding the wagering requirements of promotional bonuses, please click on the link below:

http://www.pokertime.com/promoterms.asp?btag=PT_Direct

Should you have any questions at all, please call us on one of the toll free numbers below or email us at: support@pokertime.com

Thank you again for choosing to play at Poker Time. We hope that the cards will continue falling in your favor.

Best wishes,

Mandy

I've never had a problem withdrawing freeroll money from any poker site I've played at. Maybe it's because I use Neteller. But, anyway, this whole thread it news to me...I didn't realize any of them make you deposit.

I knew that most sites have minimum amounts you can withdraw, but I always thought freeroll earnings were yours to do what you want with.

I also made a win on Poker host, but not realising the policy I entered into another trny which I also won so now I had 250 + in my account and of course as told earlier I couldn't withdraw until my inital deposit and over 1000 raked hands on a $1 or higher table. So I decided screw this and sat down at the $5/$10 no limit table. Long story short, I doubled up in 15 minutes. Now I had over 500 in my account, well the hold amount was only the 250, so I was able to cash out the other 250 at that time. So altho I couldn't cash the original amount in hold or Bonus status, anything that you can earn above and beyond that is yours for cashing out or whatever you choose. I did eventually get my 1000 raked hands in (actually I think it was closer to 1200 I needed), but it took a month, the good news is I was able to cah 100-300 every week right up until I cashed it all, now working the freerolls again and regretting cashing that last bit lol.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! I am very new to online poker and this is some of the best information I have stumbled across. I would have really been unhappy to find out about this whole "deposit first to collect winnings" thing regarding freerolls. So, I was wondering, what if they give you a bonus just to get you playing... do the same rules apply? I got $5 for doing a survey and signing up for Noble, so if I win on that money, do I get to keep it or do I have to make a deposit to get it?

As I understand it varies from site to site. Read the fine print for the site! Or you can call / mail there consumer support!

I have been glancing thru the fine print on some sites. The sites always seem to grant them self some benefit.
Some consumer support say that the pay out freeroll winnings without any catch. But there is only one way to be sure.

wow this post really made me consider depositing, i have been playing strictly freerolls and using no deposit cash and have come to realize that you have to deposit if you want to cash out. (at most sites) i recently tried to cash out of absolute because i recieved a transfer from a friend and worked it up to $300 and i was told that a transfer didn't constitute as a deposit and i could not cash out until i made the minimum deposit

Just got round to reading this thread and boy am I glad I did, Although I have deposited the minimun amount at my 3 main sites I haven't on the minor sites where I sometimes play freerolls.

Luckily enough I have only won $2 so I haven't got a great deal to lose. I think (after reading this great Post) I will now deposit at the minor sites on the off chance I pick up some big bucks LOL.

Thanks RammerJammer very insightful.

this may be true for pacific poker, but it is definately not for paradise, party, Ultimatebet, bodog. You should do some research and get your facts straight.

Excellent thread guys and one I will take heed of. Are you sure that Pacific will allow freeroll winning to be cashed out though?

I've found them to be the worst site for everything....

I won my way into the Ultimatebet tourney for Aruba Monday night in one of the freeroll entries. If I win Monday that is one of the 150 seats to Aruba they are offering through the freeroll and other tourneys. Everyone wish me luck for Monday. My wife has also placed in the Bonus Dollars tourneys at UB but no real money yet.

Ultimatebet bonus bucks

i won 2 bonus dollar freerolls at Ultimatebet. never deposited there. so i never got a dime. That bonus dollar freerolls are no good at all unless you make a deposit and play raked hands at ring games. I only play tourneys so im out of luck. I don't play there anymore. I play at bodog as bobba. been doing pretty good there. never had a problem at all with them. they do have a restriction withdrawing based upon the deposit bonus, but it hasnt come up yet to the point that it was a problem. once i couldnt withdraw but i was so close to the standard that it cleared later that same evening. i called them on the phone and the service rep told me to try it again later and i did and it went. so bodog seems bvest to me now. never tried to withdraw any others except at poker room which is also a "no go".

Just like I said in another thread under a different topic . All of these on-line poker sites are only out to get as much money out of you as possible . This proves it . What kind of garbage is that . You have to make a deposit befor cashing out winnings from a freeroll , and then you have to wait to do so , what a joke . In case you guys missed it , MSNBC had a report viewed by millions on what a scam on-line poker is . I can't post the URL to the report on this forum , it is prohibited . If you send me an email to ; CLSHRYL@aol.com , I will send you the URL to the report .
