i played at a small site and won $1100 and didn't deposit, i had to play through x amount and yeah it waas sweet.....

Rammer Jammer thank you for the insight on the deposite situtation for my wife and I didnt know that we were told and freeroll tournaments that you win that offer money and tickets are yours to keep so we have been playing are hardest and best to place in the money to build are account so we could cash out one day. thank you again for the information that is always good to know.

I just played that wsop freeroll at pokerstars. The top 50 people got entery to the wosp final tourney and if you win that you go to the show. The 5 minute blind format sucks. Does anyone have a good plain to battle the 5 min. blind.

p.s. I went out in 400 something had pocket 9's made the right call. he bet twice the pot and i went allin he had me covered flop came 5 2 q and the rest is history oh well. I still had fun!

So does this apply to all poker applications? I tend to use Full Tilt and BoDog for my freerolls...occassionally Ultimatebet

at bodog i always loose. at jonny black poker i often win at freerolls a few cent cause they let you win at place 100 and bedder....

ever since my last 1st place winng on Absolute Poker free roll, it seems like the cards are against me. bad beat after bad beat, but i will never give up. got a game starting in 15 minutes. will let you know if luck gets better. see you on the tables hopefully!!!!!!!!!

It depends on who is having the freeroll.

For instance CardChat has a freeroll section and they release the password in there a few hours before each of their freerolls.

If you are talking about a different site you'll have to contact them to find out or search their site for info about their freeroll.

placed 2nd in the ultimate bet freeroll last night. won 20 bucks. entered 1 dollar rebuys, omaha this morning and placed 1st. another $69.20. Im on a roll. Finally i can build bankroll thanks cardschat!

I'm bummed. I was sitting in 5th out of 15 left, but I was barely able to keep my eyes open. Is there anyone out there addicted to this game so much that they routinely play way past bed time? To the point where you are dozing off in your computer chair and the "Beep Beep" wakes you up and tells you it's your turn to act?

Anyway, I wish I could have finished. I just dumped my chips to the table and went to bed.

Im happy with today... a good way to waste away a home happy hour. Wound up 18th (I think) in the 3:05 Bodog tourney today. Took my 1.20 and added it to what I will probably lose in tourneys later. But at least I got it, and had a nice time with the folks I was playing with. See you guys at 8.

I have never had any trouble cashing out any of my accounts and I play on alot of different sites

I also have had no problems cashing out at any site I play, many of which I have never made a deposit. The security measures the sites make nowadays are pretty stringent but then again, I'd rather have it that way than to log into my account and find all my funds gone. Different sites have different rules, eg ID confirmation depends on how you made your deposit. If you deposit by CC, they will also require a copy of the front and back of said CC, if you deposit by Moneybookers or similar and are withdrawing to the same account photo ID and proof of address is usually required, same for p2p transfers.

There's a great blog on this site somewhere (??not sure where exactly??) but explains the difficulties with cashing out on most sites if no deposit has been made (need to win 'x' number of player pts., some to the point of being absolutely ridiculous,.. but makes sense cuz they want a deposit). Search through the site if you want the details,... you'll find it.
Other sites are better about this,.. I believe that there is no problem to cash out freeroll winnings on both PokerStars and Fulltilt.
I hadn't really thought about 'total freeroll winnings' prior to seeing the title of the blog on the main page there today.
So far this month my freeroll winnnings are $25 approx., with $12 of it coming yesterday in a totally flukey, freaky manner,.. I entered a priv. $100 freeroll, felt sick so was laying down all day and had totally forgotten about the tourney. Logged onto the poker site last night and discovered that I had placed in 5th!!! Unreal!!! I checked out all of my hand histories to discover I was down to just 50chips at first break and not in the money,.. yet. I then tripled up twice while on the BB, then doubled on the one after that (can't imagine what the other players must've been experiencing to witness the 'ghost' pick up a few pots and then pass them in the money, lol).
So far this year I've had over 48 cashes on freerolls. Many just pennies but some for a few $$, with approx. 7 final table finishes ( a 3rd of 900 last week in one on Fulltilt). Biggest cash in any of them was for $42, smallest $0.07, lol. I haven't put it all on paper as the freerolls are just a sideline for me actually, playing probably 4x as many cash games by comparison but there are days for me that become 'freeroll mania', lol (I can get addicted to freerolls and my life becomes unmanageable.
Total cash for 2008 so far in freerolls,.... hmm... I'm guessing somewhere around $125+. Started out well with a cash on NewYear's Day on Doyle's.
The $12 yesterday was obviously my biggest 'ghost cash',.. .I wonder if anyone has ever done that well in 'ghost mode'?? It seems insane?!?!
