always read the rules and regs. of every site before you play.
common sense is the key.

I hear so much about bodog , but I'll never experience it for myself because for some stupid reason Canadians can't play at bodog?? We have no laws against online poker so i have no idea why we cannot play there?? As for starting bankrolls and deposits, I also cannot afford to deposit to sites, BUT , I first started playing atpoker.com in freerolls. It took awhile but after winning a few bucks each time, I then went to their low buyin tournies. I was able to withdraw $100 from poker.com about 6 months after i started playing. They had no deposit requirement so i just withdrew from there to neteller(no more neteller though ). Then i tok the winnings i put in neteller and deposited 20 bucks at 5 sites. So when i won at the sites with deposit requirements I had already deposited with winning money.I have been playing on that money ever since, for about 5 years now. So if you can get your bankroll up at a site that allows withdraws with no deposits, just move that money to other sites and get the bonuses! Ive had a really bad 6 months for the 1st time in years so im hoping my luck will change for the btter very soon. Good luck to all!!

Is there a reason this is still a sticky? The original post was from 2005. Some of that info isn't even true nowadays. For example, I'm pretty sure you can cashout freeroll winnings on pokerstars without any minimum number of FPPs or raked hands. Most sites probably do have some type of requirement though.

Hey ! I won at cd poker first place in a 1000$ birthday freeroll but i couldn't withdraw this money. I think that a lot of poker sites put atractive freerolls so that the people join them but could not take their money.

This is not true of all sites. I have not heard of one big name site that would not let someone cashout freeroll winnings or $$ won with freeroll winnings.

Bonus Dollars are a whole different beast. Each site has their own rules on how to convert Bonus$ to real cash. Because after all Bonus Dollars are worth nothing until converted.

I have never deposited a dime on UltimateBet and have cashed out $500 bucks. My guess is that I'll have no problem on Full Tilt Poker or PokerTards either.

OLD Data and inacurate data should be deleted/edited

I guess this site doesn't exercise much thread control or monitoring. With as old as this thread is and all the currently inacurate information, one would think that this thing should be closed and or removed.

Then again, I am new here and it may take me some time to sort through what is what.

I never deposited a dime on Ultimatebet and have cashed out $500. UB will convert Bonus Dollars to cash as detailed here:

Play online poker at UltimateBet.com online poker room

Here is the details of their new Rai$e rewards program (it discusses how to earn Ultimatebet points):

RAI$E - The Ultimate Poker Rewards Program | UltimateBet

If you have any questions about UltimateBet, feel free to send me a private message. I have been playing their cash tables for 3 years now.

When I played the freerolls in Carbon Poker I managed to accumulate about $40.00 and instead of trying to withdraw the money, I transferred the funds into my wifes account without having to make the minimum deposit. I was wondering if the same would apply to other sites. If you win freeroll money maybe its possible to transfer to an accout you can withdraw from.

Thank you very much!

I play numerous freerolls and would hate to have to do so much to cash out any winnings. I'm in the process of making the minimum deposit at all my sites. Thanks again!

Im glad I read this. Not that freerolls have great rewards or anything. But having gotten real close to the money quite a few times, Im almost glad I didnt get into the money on a freeroll. What a royal pain.
Anyway, what about the "free gear" tourneys? Like when they offer shirts and hats or DVDs, do you have to make a deposit to get these too? If so, that would be super annoying.

Thanks for all the great info -- just thought you might want to know that
Full Tilt has 6 $100 Freerolls everyday, with 2700 max players. They pay out the top 27 places. $15 to first. Glad I can cash out if I want to. Thanks

Jammer,

This post is very helpful to all of us who like to play in the freerolls that are offered, and by knowing this we should be better prepared to deal with the blood sucking sites. Will you be able to tell us exactly what sites are acting this way? It would be helpful to all of us if we knew that info. I will do some research myself and give all of the help I can.

Also, go ahead and add Jetset to the list of really free freerolls. If you win enough Go! Points in their freerolls to use to enter a cash tourney, and you place in the money, then that money is yours free and clear according to their email support.

I'm thankful of this information because it makes my decision about wanting to play other sites and their freerolls... I have played 9 + years on UltimateBet and I have made deposits.... however I do believe that any and ALL freeroll earnings is yours do with as you wish it is only the bonus $$$ that requires playing the raked hands to redeem them as real and withdrawable money.... but I could be mistaken.

whooow!

nice job bro.
I just played that wsop freeroll at pokerstars. The top 50 people got entery to the wosp final tourney and if you win that you go to the show. The 5 minute blind format sucks. Does anyone have a good plain to battle the 5 min. blind.

p.s. I went out in 400 something had pocket 9's made the right call. he bet twice the pot and i went allin he had me covered flop came 5 2 q and the rest is history oh well. I still had fun!
