i wanna reply to the issue of freerol winnings and you wont be able to cash out whitou, made a first depossit first!!
we,ll its a logiccal stand but on the otherhand itss luddacris man why freerol is a freerol right why all the fuzzz and buzzz wauuww verry frustrating hahah lol

Excellent advice Rammer,beginning to understand the benefits of being a depositing player beforehand.Although my skills have improved considerably,I do not consider myself a cash table player(ok those of you who know me can save the required dig here). I prefer to play in a more exclusive setting which gives you the opportunity to get to know your opponents, so I am attempting to meet the post requirement enabling me to play in the forum buy ins.

yes ur so right I won over 200 at absolutepoker, ask them to cut me a check,They gave me the run arround intill I got pissed talk to there supervisor, Then like you found out I can not get my money I won,
Carbon poker the same way. I won a satelite tourney to play 4 60g.s
I took 20th out 960 won 200 there,The priovate satelite threw a cardchat like this,Only 1 ticket for the winner,
I like everyone to know this do not ever deposit in carbon for the fact,its ok for sit n go tourneys, Every big tourney have over 1000 people in it,
The prize money allways you have to be 30th or better even 4 60 grand,
That site is why I do not put money in there. I hope everyone who reads this see this.
I got in free, others paid 60 bucs to get a seat in the 1st hour were rebuys.
I been good at math but look at your % with rebuys to even get lucky enough to make top 30 is less then 1 %.

All there promotions at sites that pay you double what you deposit by raked hands only count in cash tables, 90% of these sites you will never see it. with 1 exception and it was fulltilt, I deposited 50 and got paid

I did not have to play in 1 to 2 buc blinds, You can play at 10 25 cent blinds no limit and you will still make alot .
Hogher blinds are not better just that you can sit down with more chips

As everyone knows here, 1 hand a cooler you can loose it all in 1 hand.

To be honest you see it 24hrs a day and everyone will go all in on a ace,k suited, As long someone is pushing you in,
People dont understand this but a 89 suited at the right time not allin and position is a huge advantage to have that, to bluff see the flop,.on that flop nothing higher then your cards are is a safe bet to raise it be4 or check it they can have a monster like high pocket pair.
If it is cheap and the person is not bettingf 3 or 4 times the pot and blinds
The math is this simple you are only 44 percent chance to loose with to live cards, ok, now they hit the flop you see k or ace or a q, they bet it
like the song goes you got to know when to holdum now when to foldum.

Poker Stars. If read thru this whole thread and found little info on POKER STARS. I ve recently switched from full tilt and had no $$$ problems there. Anyone now Pokerstars policy on freeroll withdraws without any deposit??? If been reading the fine print but cant seem to find the INFO. Im sure they put this intentionally in a hard place to find THX Mike

THanks for this Message!!! My girlfriend has been trying hard to earn a few pennies on a couple of sites (with myself promising to get her set up for a 'cash account' here soon,... if she keeps at it for awhile).
She pounded away on the freerolls for about a month or so, and just this past week managed to cash out on FOUR of them!!! (bummer news to hear that this $$ will be kept separate from her 'real money' account and that to 'cash it' she will need to take down a number of raked hands,... am guessing that on average that would mean she would need to play multiple thousand dollars of entry fees on SnG's (the type of game she is most used to and comfortable with as she has VERY limited experience with playing on even a $0.05/$0.10 cash table, although she did for a week or so when PokerStars deposited $5 to her account on a promo thing).
Looks now as if I'm going to have to crack and put some $$ into a couple of accounts for her (Doyle's for one, due to the abundance of 'super-micro mini SnG's - $0.09+$0.01,... 'perfect' for her).

Thanks again for the info.,... it has been invaluable to us (just as the freeroll winnings are 'invaluable'). Sorry to hear about your experience with finding out 'after the fact'. THANKS TONS!!!!

I'll probably have to sit in for 3 times that number of hands to get involved in that many rakes. Just so I can convert the $78 I've already won into real, withdrawable money. If I had only been savvy enough to make the meager $25 minimum depost before our freeroll, the $78 would already be mine, free and clear.

The moral of the story? If you really want to play freerolls and enjoy the fruits of your labor, you must make the minimum deposit on the poker site before you sit down. Otherwise, you're just playing for the sheer fun of it and the prizes don't mean squat to you. And remember, you don't have to play real money games just because you made a deposit. You can let the minimum sit there if you like, and play freerolls exclusively. (If there are any sites that post a "minimum activity" requirement, I'm not aware of them.) If you decide you don't like the site, you can always withdraw your original deposit and go elsewhere. But any freeroll winnings in the meantime will truly be yours, without all the hassle.

you have to make a deposit, but can Cash out any freeroll winnings without playing further hands.

You don't have to deposit before the winning, only before the cashout, which can be done right after depositing, no waiting time.

Just a note re: Fulltilt freerolls,... there are still 5 freerolls, 2700 max. entrants, running 5x per day that are open to 'all' and then many other 'private ones' that will be open to many (ie. 'Canada Freeroll - 20:35EST, open to Canadians,.. other countries having private freerolls as well).

Fulltilt freerolls, top 27 paid,... Total prize money: $100 (2700max.)

It might not be with all sites but most. It does make sense to instead find out these little glitches later to just deposit min. To withdraw you have to have something set up or you have to send id to prove your 18 or older.I think it was a very thoughtful post thanks

well..the only site I haven't deposited on, that I'd do FR at (CC FRs) is BoDog..

Everywhere else I play I've deposited (Ultimatebet, PokerStars, and FT) ..still informative though.

This is very informative, i'll have to remember that when i am playing my freerolls, going to avoid the ones at Pokerstars, come 7000 fighting for 99 satellite tickets, is pretty hard, and frustrating. 3 hrs to end up 101, being on the bubble hurts worst than losing earlier hands.

I've had no problems with T6, except for the you have to be quick to register for the 1000 euro freeroll 2 hours before starting once registration opens. Cashing out i have no problem, i just have a problem with depositing, and making 6 euros in rakes prior to signing for the pokernews cup.

It's been awhile...but I came in at 8th beating 3000+ others. I usually win little amounts off freerolls...then I play it all back in on a satelight buy in or buy in for a private game.

I got $5 from Ultimatebet freeroll last night...I like rewards once in awhile so I keep plugging away at the freerolls..

Game is ON...99% fold 1% gotcha!

I have played with you once or twice, I seem to remember. I have collected over $ 100 total on various freerolls. I have never made a deposit. Can this money be cashed out. I do not want to but if i changed my mind could I get my money without a hassle?

It's gratifying to know that my unpleasant experiences with freerolls as a novice online player have served other members here well. This original post is now almost 2-1/2 years old and still going strong. However, it's important to note as we enter Spring 2008 that a lot of changes have occurred in the world of Internet Poker since October 2005. The legislative upheaval after Black Friday, the arrests, the closure of many, many poker rooms...it's a whole new environment.

Many of the older replies here should be taken with a grain of salt and some personal investigation, as the poker rooms in general are exercising much better customer service and much less monkey business since things got tough. Most of the rooms these days don't make you jump through hoops, or pull the bait-&-switch on freerolls like they did before the sea change. Not to say the shady outfits have disappeared. But the legitimate rooms figured out pretty quickly when a major percentage of their players went "poof" overnight that they couldn't afford to alienate anyone.

So, again, thanks for the support. Glad you found it useful. And keep your head up and your eyes open out there.

Good reading. Its surprising how few of us dont read all the conditions before hitting that "NEXT" button. LOL
Fortunately for me I have already made my deposit.
Unfortunately I lost my deposit, and even worse can't seem to win more than 50 cents on freerolls. How am I supposed to support my wife that's what I want to know. It cost me 50 cents to phone her and let her know that I won the 50 cents....sheeeesh

The more money you put in a poker site the more you will have stolen from you. thats the bottom line.. online poker is full of collusion and outright theiving. DONT depposit a dime if your smart. I f you really want to learn poker find a pokker room or play with some friends.

and then worked it up to$100 bought into 55$ trny against 485 peps to take 2nd for$2000 then took out 1500$ with in ten days keep in mind i have never deposited soo it can be done. go bodog

I won $50 in a freeroll at Ultimate Bet but i didn't try to cash it out. I just played patiently with it and turned in into $1,000 dollars now i have played enough raked hands to cash it out and i have also started a nice bankroll.
