Heh, I'd love to start playing.. A few more posts this week and I should be good to go.

Thing is: I've done a couple freerolls with DJ and Philty, and I really need to get some better skills to even be at the table with them!

BTW you don't need 50 posts to play in the cc freerolls. It's just to be eligable for the leaderboard.

All of your points are valid Ben, but there are practical reasons behind the two rules that we have.

The cardschat buyin events are already tracked. If you buy in and play your results are automaticlly recorded by BeardyIan. You can find the standings by clicking on this link http://pokersriver.com which is at the bottom of every post he makes. He also hosts the freeroll leaderboards there.

For the freerolls there are only two rules.

Rule #1 You have to sign up.

Freerolls and buyins are two completely different animals.
1. Buyins generally have 15 to 30 entrants, where freerolls have 150 to 900.
2. Most of the buyin players are regulars, where most of the freeroll players (definitely over 90%) have 0 to 5 posts and only come to this site for the freeroll passwords. Most of these people have no idea that the leaderboards exist and probably don't care.

There could easily be someone that never posts here that's kicking ass out there, but obviously you can't expect me to track each and every player in each and every freeroll.

Rule #2 You must have 50 posts.

I understand that this is where you're unsatisfied. I only posted rule #1 to make a point...where do you draw the line?
You have to start with people that are at least willing to sign up in this thread. So how many posts? 1? 5? 20? Look through this thread and look for people that tried to sign up with less than 50 posts...then click on their names to see when they last signed in to CC. They're gone. They popped in, signed up, then disappeared. Tracking their results would have been a waste of time.
Of the people signed up with 50 posts, the majority are still here. Hence the rule.

For people in your situtation there is already a provision in place. Once you reach 50 posts, I will dig up your results for the quarterly section leading up to post number 50, and add them to leaderboards. I can explain that in detail if you want.

since i'm new to the site (although i signed up in November) it'll probably take me forever to get to 50 posts, but i'll work on it.

i'm a writer so i'm online a lot. maybe i'll post even if i have nothing to say. hehe. like right now.

If things work out, I'll backtrack and count all results from the first one.

There's no hurry. You don't have to spam your way to 50 posts.

The year will be split into quarters. When you reach 50, all of your results from that quarter will count.
