Freeroll

I love to play in the freeroll tourny's just as much as anyone. It is great experience to learn as well as a good possibility to earn some real cash to play in more advanced games. But what is the deal with all of the freeroll all in junkies...like the first hour of play you have to be so cautious because over half the players dont care they want to win 1 big hand not win the tourny. This is so frustrating

hmmm just people figure if they don't double up it's a waste of time, I've seen hands like AK A10 QJ and 6 3 go all-in and the flop is 6 6 3... so you just gotta think about time your investing into it and what not

it happens, i hate that too.

Like JRaD said people figure they need to double up or triple up to take the lead or its a waste of time.

In any big tourney i pay no attention to my position relative to the touney leader. Instead i try to maintain at least 20x big blind and work it from there. I set goals for myself at the breaks for example i try to have 4000 chips at the first break in a 1000 chip starting game or 6000 in a 1500 game 4x starting chips.usually works out if i can make it to those levels.

pokerstars saturday freeroll

Good thing i waited 2 hours b4 to play. 35 minutes in with a guy all in every hand, only me, idiot and 1 other player, 6 sitters. Finally get fed up call with a9 clubs, guy behind calls also with 22, idiot has q 3 clubs. you can guess 2 on flop. Idiot finishes going bust 3 spots better. Thank You idiot for making this a great game for me, and special kudos to the guy who wouldn't lay down ducks to 2 all ins, to a guy who hasn't seen a flop all game. I had a great time. Just venting.

Had AKs cracked by a straight chaser, and the very next hand the same bastard cracked my KK when he hit a straight on the river. He (I use this description loosely ) called me with 86u.

I also got downright beat a few times today too. Getting involved with hands I should not have even been in.

All you can do is laugh. The numbers will prove you right. If you stick to the plan.

This happens at freerolls, there are a lot of donkey's I died yesterday because someone called with his pocket 3's my allin against my 2 pair AK and there came a 3 on the river, very frustrating, but we can't do anything about it? Good luck everyone playing tonight on Full tilt poker

the freeroll.....(sigh)

well unfortunately there is nothing u can do about the all in frenzy at the beggining of the FR. so i have found it best to play only monsters and i rarely raise, as it seems you can never push them out. i try to see the flop, with as little as possible invested and let the cards do the work. GL
