Finding Passwords.

Well, as with almost all newbies, it took me awhile to figure out the password system.
Might I make a suggestion.
After registration, send and email to the newbie explaining the password rules and how to find them. I think it would save a lot of time and aggrivation. Especially for the computer illiterate group.
This seems like a great site, just takes a little getting use to .

not alone

lol
see I am not alone.
Just a newbie here, but my understanding is you must post 15 threads and then by some by some majical system a password icon or area will pop up on your the home page for you.
My fingers are getting bloody trying to get my first 15 posts. lol.
Good luck.
you might want to write directly to the webmaster for more clear details.

I'm only laughing because I was just in the same boat a few days ago...but maybe for the newbies this will help: If you haven't made 15 posts, you are not going to see the link to the passwords! If you have, it's on the homepage, with the topic headings...at least it was for me...correct me if I am wrong oldtimers?

I found it with no problems.. saw the 15 post requirements.. lol wasn't paying attention though. Logged in one day, said wow what is this? I said "Cool a new area" then realized that is where the passwords were at.

Nick is in the process of tweaking the latest version of Cardschat. I have suggested that the introductory section for new members detailing requirements for freeroll eligibility and where to find the passwords be moved from its current spot two clicks off the home page to a locked forum of its own in the General section, right on the home page itself. He has agreed to implement that in the updated Cardschat, coming soon.

15 post

its a good idea but how many have stuck around for 15 posts, its not hard to reply to so many questions and concerns but do they still continue to post after seeing links

We used to have freerolls on PokerStars, but we stopped them due to immaturity, spam and password leaking. They may continue after we've tightened up our rules.

This is a very confusing procedure but... if the Webmaster's do it they have some reasons to do it...
