Bodog Freerolls

i have been playing Bodog a lot lately, mainly their freerolls. I feel i keep getting closer and closer to the cash. Last night in the $1000 i finished 250th. Yeah i know, its not that great. top 99 pay, but considering when i first played, i didn't even make it past the first break. Just wanted to put that out there.

Hey, I play that one too. If you want a shot at $1,000 freeroll that's easier...try Gutshot.com - it pays to 260!

I have cashed three times on Bodog for a grand total of $7.50. My strategy is usually all in or fold up to level 8 and then I play my regular game and avoid going all in against the big stacks. Until you get to around level 13 you will see a lot of foolish all ins especially by big stack calls on all ins on nothing hands. It usually cashed at around 3 1/2 hours but with the new 5000 limit it might be a little longer. You can blind out and cash if you get your stack up to about 40M if you don't want to wait. I did that one time. If you make it to level 10 you can blind out with between 25K and 30 K. My all ins were limited to AA and KK unless a got a cheap flop in the blinds and picked up a nut hand on the flop. These games don't seem to have any logic at all. You just have to survive in the later rounds.

i play tight. i usually don't call until i a have a good hand (high pairs etc). but the last two i played, i have been getting love from the flop. (a 2 suited and flop is 2 2 5) so i have been building my chip stack through luck basically. when i get up there though, i get a monster hand and someone beats me on the flop or the river. then i hit desperation mode to try and catch something and get booted out. i just have to learn to be more patient later in the tournament. its easy for me to be patient early on.

Tonight I played this one and one at Absolute (Ohio vs. Texas).....Well I had Pocket Q's on the Absolute Poker game and got beat by a flush, a guy hit his jack and went all in, I had to call because nothing was higher than me. Out of 899 people I placed 44th....I was angry because I was SO close to the money.
Then in the Bodog freeroll out of 5000 I placed 445, I thought I was going to make it further, however my pocket Jacks got beat.....I was upset but happy with both...I have placed in the Bodog freeroll a few times. I hope to a few more lol....

I just finished playing in tonights $1,000 freeroll. I was chipleader pretty much through it until there was under 70 people to go. I got dealt pocket Queens. I call a guys all-in for around $40K and he has pocket A's. I never fully recovered and placed 53rd!

I play at Bodog quite a bit as far as the freerolls I think the best I have done is in the 20s and like someone said in the start of these FR ill play alot of allins or course ill have a hand worth that kind of bet but after like the 8th or 9th round I start playing very tight and I have noticed that after a break you will get fair hands , hands you wanna play but really shouldnt because if they are still playing most likely its because they know how but ya there are still the lucky ones well at any rate Im in todays game and im looking forward to a good game
I would like to say (GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE)

All i can say is Keep Trying, when i first started online i played the Fulltilt freeroll for 6 months, Everyday, and then i finally won it, it was 900 players back then and it only paid 4 places,, $8.. $6,, $4,,, and 2 bucks, it took 5 hours and 31 minutes, but it gave me the feeling that i accomplished something,, So, Keep trying and you`ll get there..>>>>>>>>>>> buck

Nice going with that $3.00 cash out. Put it in micro fixed limit Minimum is .05 Minimum on NLHoldem .05/.10 is $2.00. You might be able to build a mini bankroll out of it.

As far as I know, yes. But I will say that I haven't made any deposits yet so I'm not sure about the x-fering to and from. I see alot of US players in the games though. I took 14th in a recent $1,500 guaranteed tourney. I brought down $22 with a buyin of just a few hundred VIP points. Score!

CRAP LOL I have been playing the Bodog freeroll the past 4 nights in a row and have placed 144th, 125th, 149th, and 367th (might not be the exact places but in the same general area might be +1/-1). I'm doing consistant, just can't get as far as I need to.....I know I can place because I've done it a few times, I just need to start doing it more. I don't know what it is about these freaking freerolls but I can't stop playing them. No matter how many cash games or buy-in tourneys I play I still seeing myself playing the freerolls when I can. I guess because they are free lol ??
