I find getting to the top table difficult - only done it twice. About 50% of the time I make the money but usually go out in the 20s. Just can't seem to get it right... Well there's always tonight.

love the 1500 freeroll. best finish for me was 9th, then ive had a couple in the teens. i would say the first hour is the worst part, donkeys are playing everything and anything but overall a great freeroll.

Same here. The first hour is the worst. After that you have players that actually play with the odds. It is very challenging after the first hour. I really enjoy this site more than the others.

Ive finished final table a couple times. Does everybody have more success playing these tournaments like a normal money tourn or do you play real loose. I notice I do better if I play extremely loose and play the allin role alot. I know it pisses people off but I think its better to double up a bunch of times early.

in the 1,500 i placed 2nd twice 5th once 7th another an 17th have been my best finishes an made a few hundred off of it key is to fold fold fold alot an take the max amount of time while other donks go out per hand then once maintaining the average chip stack once it comes time to make the little money is when i start gambling an making my moves for the final table i play these things everyday so you can always see me in the standings or catch me in the 500$ those ones are even easier and i do even better in those ones but less money payouts an more starting chips
but they are fun just be aware near break times bodog dishes out the coolers so more tight people or mid stacks go out so if you got alot of chips avoid playing big pots untill money comes closer then get in there an gamble after that

words of wisdom never re-buy for a freeroll tourney EVER the payouts are so lousy for anyone who dont finish top 3 your just paying back bodog for hosting it cause they never add it to the genral prize pool money like they should so pay outs never increase even though 30 people probably rebuy per tourney atleast so although it is free since the prize pool never gets any bigger rebuys is just pointless unless you got free money to burn

find me whenever and say hello
gl to everyone today in the cards chat freeroll

freeroll

Have been playing the bodog freeroll for a couple years now. Lots of final tables but usually go all in when it starts getting late. 6am comes early. Still fun and passes the time...

I got in the top 25 or so last friday. Won $12, which my wife promptly lost at the let it ride game they have. Oh well though, I had fun winning it and she had fun losing it. Can't ask for more.

Bodog FreeRoll

It appears as though some people sign up and turn on "autoplay". I only assume they are earning poker points! I was at a table where it was obvious 4 other players had "autoplay" on until they were eliminated. They made it to the first break.

Placed Tonight

I just finished in 42nd place in the $1,500 freeroll on bodog and got $7.50. I had a big chipstack for awhile and then went card dead and got beat on the river when i went all in. Not a final table finish, but still pretty good

Its sickening to play for over 4 hours straight, have AA in your hand and some fool with 83 off suit goes all in and of course I have to call, flop comes 338 and come in 8th place.

Not much success, but, I have placed 96th once. Got a couple bucks. Was very fun. Also place in the money in a 30 Poker Tracker. Still chasing the big one though.

I dont know why, but often, i end up in the top 50 for the $500 freeroll, but never for the $1,500 freeroll. I guess it takes pacience. What helps me to not get bored is watching my favorite TV show and just waiting for that perfect hand to call with.

I played the Cards Chat Bodog on Sunday. Was a fun tourney. I was up and down and up again. I didn't place, but, was sat at several tables with many fun and good people.
I will try again next Sunday.

I'm getting more consistent in the $1500. I feel I am playing a more controlled game and have a much higher average finish than I had a while back.

What books would you recommend to further my understanding of probabilities and strategy of the Hold'em game?
