Rebuys

Only slight disadvantage with the freerolls is that they are re-buys so the first hour can be very crazy and funny. I saw one guy at my table re-buy 7 times i.e.$7, calling all-ins with hands like 10h3h pre-flop; he'd have to finish high up to make it worthwhile!

Still good fun!

I was in a 4000 player free roll and came out #352 ..... Not bad since I've only been studying/playing for maybe a month... When I play the $1500 dollar guaranteed free rolls I can last If I play tight and let all the other players go at eachothers throats. Which Usually doesn't do so well in chip count in the end. But if you switch up your play which i've tried as well and get lots of chips in the begining you might end up losing on something you should of won on. (Damn the river -.-)

I played last night. I lost my internet connection and had very little $ left when i got it back, but, found that the first hour is for getting all those over anxious players out of the way. Half were gone in 30 minutes or less.

I finished 18th once and I was up until 2:30 in the morning, about 5 hours spent and only 15 dollars or so, I cant remember exactly how much it was. I play it from time to time now, but I usually play very aggressively trying to build a big chip stack at the beginning b/c if im gonna spend 5 hours I wanna atleast try to have a big stack and make it far so i can win some of the big money. When I play real tight I can usually make it to about 150-300 people left and then bubble out if the cards dont come. Came in 80th and 95th also, just doesnt really seem worth my time unless I can go into the top 200 or so with a very large stack. So I still play it, but not as often as I used to.

Ive finished final table about half a dozen times, my roommate has won it, and finished second - and I've won the 30pt free roll - which i like to play simply becuase it ends an hour earlier than the 1500K, I still have to work in the morning you know.

Well, I just finished my 1st Cards freeroll. I was disappointed. I was 19th. Went all in with A 10 and was called with 7 5, who won. Will try again, tho.

The $1500 FR lasts about 4-5 hours. If you have the time and patience it is a good one to play.

I finished 22 in the 1500 last night. Had a great time, but, couldn't get used to the betting toward my finish. I had 230000 at one time, but, with the betting and my getting beat out holding trips two times, I felt, a little green. Had fun and will do it again.

I can usually make it along pretty well, as long as nothing pops up and I dont have to go anywhere. The tourneys take a while. You just gotta weather the storm and not play too many hands(unless they are really good) in the first hour or so.

Being in the UK, I tend to play the $500 freeroll. Finished 21st today, probably should have been higher - 3rd in the chip count with about 50 players left.

That's my 4th payout this month - 5 in December. Must be doing something right. But I am so used to having low stacks, I don't really know how to use a bigstack well - when I do try bullying someone hits and when I have a strong hand everyone folds. Still this is a good learning ground for me before moving on.

Say hello if you see me at the tables - Rifle35692 @ Bodog.

I've cashed a few times. You can pick off some big pots from the "What? It's only a freeroll!" crowd that moves in with weak junk and make it late with the actual poker players.

Thanks for all the replies. I am looking forward to tonights freeroll. I have finished as high as 22nd. Should have been closer to the top, but, have to get experience playing with the 2-300,000 chip amount.
