Beware of password phishing

In our tourneys you will no doubt see people (obs) who are pleading that they can't get their email or can't login into the forum, etc. to get the password for the tourney.

Example:
Ultimatebet PrivCCW7pm-029 My table at this evening event.
CTITS4_500K(obs): I CAN'T GET INTO MY EMAIL TO GET PASSWORD FOR THIS TOURNEY
CTITS4_500k(obs):IS THERE ANOTHER WAY

Don't give them the password! If they are a member they can contact a mod if they are having trouble with the password at registration.

Cool ...what was that password? I need to deposit a large sum of money into your bank acct...what's that number? lol
Seriously...dont give out password to anybody...they will get when they join/ meet post criteria.

One time on the Ultimatebet freeroll a guy came to my table asking for the password and I told him to type in "iamretarded" and he thanked me and tried it and came back telling me it doesnt work, at which point I told him to read it

Couple of fools got banned for sharing the password this way today. One for giving it out, the other for accepting it without making the required posts.

Just sayin'.

btw after i said this i told him nicely to just go check out the forum, i said it was "easy"....just letting everyone know, i know we here at CC have a rep to uphold..

I've had people at the table tell me they got in via password from a freind. Only takes me a moment to copy that HH with their text and let the mods know. I have no problem with taking a moment to let the mods know durring a game, in fact I like busting the guys who are in effect stealing from CC.

yeah unfortunately there are a lot of people that get the password and aren't members at all, hopefully none of those people ever place but if they do, they are just cheating their way to the money.

It's funny how people try soooooooo hard to get into freerolls. I understand that they want to win some free cash to start thier bankroll, but they should just sign up to Cardschat, make some posts, stay active and do like everyone else does. it really isn't that hard to chat and talk about poker.

I agree, it just takes about a couple of seconds to write a post and stay active in the forum. I think you spend less time doing that, than 15-20 minutes begging others for the pws.
