aquiring passwords

hi i am new to cardschat, do i have to do anything special to recieve the passwords here, or is membership automatic. i am currently a freeroller, but with any winnings i aquire i would gladly join in any buy-in tournies here. hate password thievery, i am here because i want to play, last place i played freerolls there were 6-7 sitouts on every table, hard to play 2-3 hours short-handed the whole time.

Freeroll passwords are available to all members, however the passwords are only released to the general membership 1-4 hours before start time.

As with any site, start by reading the rules.

Passwords can be aquired at 2 for 6bits. Real live ones that work are available at an additional charge.

while reading the rules concerning the freerolls, it stated that general forum member would get the passwords. it did not however state if new members have a grace period or minimum required posts as alot of forums do, thanks for the visual though, i asked a question i did not readily see in the rules.

There is no grace period to get the freeroll password. You are eligable to view and use the passwords from the time you sign up for membership.

I "readily" saw the answer in the rules. I even saw a link directly to the passwords:

"CardsChat.com Freeroll Information

What are the requirements?

To play in our regularly scheduled freerolls, you must be a registered member of Cardschat.com.
Occassionally we also host special event freerolls. Some additional eligibility conditions may apply to these special tournaments, and vary by event. Visit the Cardschat.com Freerolls section of the forum for details on all our freeroll tournaments.

Where do I find the passwords?

Our freeroll passwords are posted in the Freeroll Passwords sub-forum. Click here for information about freeroll password release."

Best constructed post about "wheres the password" I have ever seen. Hope your questions have been answered and this guy never lets us down ....

the ones that try to make you look stupid are probably graduates of betfair forum where this practice is rife.

Actually it is very easy and almost as you descibe it. You simply go to the freeroll password section - select the thread for the tournament you are interested in - and bingo, you have it. There is no need to search through a bunch of threads for one password. We wouldn't want all of the passwords for every tournament in one thread - they are all updated at various times.

There is a calendar available if you want to see the dates and times for all of them at a glance.

Not a bad idea. What you don't know is that the guy above asked the same question probably 10 times all over the forum, even after it had been answered several times (a lot of those posts have since been deleted). You get a little perturbed when people don't actually pay attention when their questions are answered.

LOL, yeah that is scary. It is very irritating when people do not bother to read the general rules and then bug other people simply because they are too lazy to do their own "homework".

as long as we all find the password and get a chance to play and meet each other it's all good. never be afraid to ask a question, you will find out who not to listen to in a big hurry
