$75 Freeroll-FULL

Anyway to increase from 200 ? Last week barely got in, this week got shutout. Work till 8 so could not register till 8:15. Frustrating because when I played last alot of players satout and were not even present to play.

I am very sorry to say that I contributed to the sit-outs this evening. I reg'd about an hour and a half before, ran to the store, then....completely forgot about it! I am ashamed. I did get in about an hour later only to donk my chips away! So there was justice for those at my table who had to endure my absence...and my presence??

as was said in a different post by t1riel...we dont hate on loyalers who sit out cause they usually have a legit reason (in this case, loss of memory )
but we love to hate on the newbies
no need to be ashamed

Yea, i sat at the early game, and had one guy just go all in every hand, no matter what he had, and about 7 sitouts, then the tables where no one speaks english, but i guess there's nothing you can do about it, we are always going to have to deal with it.

Well CC players I had a little bit of it all where I was at! I said I'd try it again to support my forum,so I did and got out early again...lol...I know we have to have free rolls at present time but wish their was a way we could have at least a $1-buy in and maybe that would stop some of the things going on. I'm just so aggravated with some of the players, I really try to block them out but just want to pinch their heads off! I just think of them as "Bluffing,Raise & Re-raise Games". Instead of improving with game play I find myself at these to be-well I can't put it in the lady like words....LOL......Anyone else feel let down by these? I don't do bad at other tourneys at free rolls I expect to have a bunch of idiots playing. Here at CC as a #1 forum to me it just hurts that so many people are so inconcederate and disrespectful to their own forum! I know as well as the rest of you do that a lot that play or not even members & could care less about CC. Suggestions if you all have any.

Shel, pm Nick. I think your opinion will hold more weight than others. I'd like to play, but I agree with you, they're unplayable at the moment and have been for months and months. Irish Dave has gone because of them - look at the screenshot Beardyian posted this morning - top 25, how many Cardschaters? Maybe we'll do a private $1 tourney instead for the same time? (Omaha Hi/Lo maybe, we haven't had one yet).

Well Shel i have to agree, ive not played in many of the sites freerolls I personally prefer to play a $5 sit and go

But i feel that there isnt much you can do about the way its working, the vast majority of players in the freeroll are non-contributing members of cardschat, I say let them at it. Let them go all in every hand and chat to each other is some strange from of Swahali (spelling police)

I for one am sticking to the buy-in's and "loyal" freerolls from now on, unless per chance im drunk on a Wednesday and want to play like a maniac, might keep me off the N/L ring tables.

Hope to see you on Stars tomorrow Shel, chin up

It wasn't because of the freerolls, it was because of the type of crowd freerolls attract. I raised 3 kids, I don't need to join a forum to deal with more kids out looking for a freebie. Never agreed that freerolls really attract anything to the site except more hassle than they're worth...

We have two freerolls now on Wednesday, right?

I personally would recommend keeping one as a 'free for all', as it were, and restricting access to the other. That way, wouldn't everyone be happy? Nick and Titan are still getting the new peeps in, and the regulars have their own game hopefully free of the stupid stuff.

It may still be impossible however, as I don't know what restrictions Titan have placed on Nick with regard to the freerolls (remember it's they who put up the money, and thus it's they who have the last word).

Edit: That said, if you don't like the freerolls, play the buyins. Complaining about people at a freeroll is sorta like going to a special needs school and complaining that the kids there are stupid.

We made two freerolls to cater for the European players on this site. There are no real restrictions on me in terms of the freerolls but you guys know what happens when you start putting a 'limit' or 'requirement' on a freeroll.

Indeed, however I was thinking of a post requirement far greater than the standard 15. Would people really bother trying to spam to, say, 100 just for a $75 freeroll?

(Actually, don't answer that :/)

Well yesterday at my table there was only jerk, allin almost every hand, so i folded everytime, then he went allin and i caught AK and called him and he was out, i`ll play the 3:30 one the other is too late for me so i dont register for it, but as we discussed lots of times before about making it a $ 1.00 buyin or a $1.00 Re-buy Nick dont want that, but there have been loyal members that have won it, and in the past few months they have been in the money, like yesterday, Beardyian 2nd place, Jamile won it, i won it 3 times and i think BBB won it, The only change i wish that were made is that it paid 18 places like it used to, i think it was Kj Sexton or Kenzie that finished in the top 10,, 2 weeks in a row and got nothing, but whatever, the rest of my table yesterday played ok, my pocket KK got busted by pocket AA, i play in the freeroll everyweek, and have noticed it depends on what table your at, there are however way TO many Sit-Outs, maybe after some of these freeroll players LEARN how to play it will get better, but i doubt it. Its a nice way to pass some time though, lol. Zinzan was at my table yesterday and i think he may agree with me, that our table wasnt to bad.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>. buck

If forum freerolls are truly meant as members only games, it's up to the sites and forums to work together to set the tournies up with an allowed list. Can Titan do this? I think they can but it's more overhead for all involved. New members can still play, they just have to sign up and possibly wait a few days to get in.

Titan can do an allowed list. I'm in another league that used the list. They going back a password. I don't know if it was just too much work or Titan fouled it up. It will stop the password theft, but won't do anything sitters.

Personally, I think the whole freeroll problem is Dorkus' fault. If he was worth a damn as a mod he would have solved all these problems already. Perhaps the next freeroll should be at his house and he can provide free food and beer. Just a thought...
