Just bought a pallet of poker chips, ready for the upcoming rebuy+addon now. I am the chip leader and it ain't even started yet!
...Hope I got the right colours.

Rats, you mean I was too obvious?

ImNotA_MultiDonk
ReallyImNot
TrustMe_Really
WouldI_Lie

Instead of ImA_MultiDonk1,...2,...3,...4

And yes there are legit "Sequential Names", but statistically there are way more MultiDonks in the freerolls. And if any of those are one of your screen names, well......a lucky guess, I guess. Oh okey, any resemblence to a legit player (living or somewhere this side of dead) is probably purely coincidental, as I made those up on the fly. So chill. And if you're on the other side of dead...Dude! You got one heck of a broadband connection!

Multiple Accounts, Collusion Cheating!!

This definitely routinely goes on! It cannot be properly policed unless you Immediately contact tech support! PokerStars is particularly good at this. I reported a player who apparently had five players in the game the second I saw this I took a screen shot, sent it to tech support and before the break 4 of his similarly named players were not on the list - they have the ability to yank a player mid-game from his seat.

It does not good to wait until tomorrow , next week or until some future point report them. This is how some of that software "you can win with works". I am no tech-wizard but I know it is easily visible by IP address (the physical AND virtual address of every PC on the internet.

The problem with this method is that each internet card can host up to 5 unique addresses. Plus your local internet provider can wire your house with as many addresses as you can pay for. I am given to understand that the better poker sites have additional levels of security but it starts with you identifying it and reporting it.

This is not snitching this is a thief trying to take what you're trying to win skill!!!

This would be very good idea, and a good use of the rake and entry fees. Give the security teams something to do.

Now if they would pay out a bounty for every illegitament account you tip them on, that'd be sweet.

Just don't cry wolf because your all-in AA was beaten by Donk's 22 on the flop of 2234.

If you believe that your complaint is justified, then report it. Otherwise think before you bet your chipstack next time and remember there are many clubs, leagues, private trainers who use sequential naming for various reasons (A bad idea in my opinion).

You're right Jeff! I really don't advocate calling people out without proof and there can be legitimate reason's for sequential names as you've mentioned. I assume since when I reviewed the players list the multiple names were gone that PokerStars found something to indicate impropriety.

If you suspect, sometimes you can tell by the play, report fast. I'd rather be mistaken before a cheater gets my chips. If the player is legit he never knows and the sites never tell the reporter what happened, so no harm no foul....

Oh ya??? You keep on wishing! I just read jefe's posted and ordered a Semi Truck load of chips too, good idea Jefe!

The had part about those aces is I had to buy the itty bitty travel decks in four colours then it took a bit to resize the screen so's they'd match up kinda close. Got smart and put double sticky tape on the back of them so'n I wouldn't have to hang on to 'em. Quick snap with the old Polaroid and Walaa! Royal flushes and quad Aces galore! Here's I'll show ya one.

( Never mind...Damn things are all stuck together now............ )

Why does fulltilt allow the same ip address to register in a tourney twice? Correct me if I'm wrong, but i don't think pokerstars allows this.

If you are married or have roommates who also play poker the answer is in the house.

How else are we to prove who is the better poker player, one us go next door and beg the neighbour to let us install and run a poker client on their computer?

Most rooms will allow it, I would think...maybe or maybe not...once you explain your situation to tech support, and you will be watched closely and randomly I have no doubt.

As far as playing with an established account, I have played in several club parties where a designated IT-Admin watches all the players. Once the tourney starts you can't get up until break or are eliminated. If you do, admin kills your link and you're out of the tourney, do it 3 times and you must leave the premises and will not be invited back. We also call these LAN parties, and we play private tournaments. As far as what agreements they have with the hosting poker room, I don't know -not my department-, and not going to go there. Upon arrival we sign an agreement as to the established rules of play, house rules, etc. or you don't play.

Um yes they do. Poker Stars has the ability to allow a second account from the same IP address if it is for a legit reason. e.g. they have allowed me and my wife to have accounts from the same IP adress. The reason being is that at the time of opening my account I did not have a credit card and my wife did, and PokerStars would not allow me to deposit funds into my account with her credit card. So in their need for greed they allowed me the ability to open a second account from the same IP address, (which I wasn't able to do until they gave me the ability) and told me to deposit into one account then transfer to the other account.
Funny thing is a couple of days ago without thinking I was able to deposit into my wifes account with my new credit card.
So after seing this thread I wanted to see if I can sign up in the same game with the two ID's and yes you can. the only way I can do it is to sign up with one account then log off then resign in with other account and sign up as I have only one PC.
Now if I had another PC with a router I think it would be possible, a pain in the ass but possible, but what these pond scum that are infiltrating our freeroll with multi accounts would do I dont know. (the I Eats not included in the pond scum)
Now before you all start bothering the CardsChat mods about me they know I have two accounts, you dont think I am that stupid as to state on an open forum that I have two accounts and then proceed to scam the said forum with those two accounts.

Pokerstars does allow it only in MTT and Multi table SNGs. Because I had my friends come over with their labtop before and we played in the same SNG, but we did not cheat. I hate people who do that.

these names are all in todays freeroll
i will be reporting this to fulltilt

there's an indication of poker site security for you (or lack of it)

supposedly you can only have 1 account on FT or PokerStars......only way they know if someone has multiple accounts is if they are reported so if you suspect anyone.....

>>>>>>>>>take the time to report suspect names......even if you're wrong ....no harm no foul...nothing will happen to the person if they dont have multiples <<<<<<<<<

I've reported several suspect IDs to tilt and pokerstars ....all but one were caught and booted
lotta times you can catch em by way of their profiles on a forum or their referrals to a site if they are shown on their page/profile like some sites show

that guy and a bunch of others.....see em in any freeroll that doesn't fill up the instant it opens for registration...(like all the diff forum freerolls)

and you only see the stupid ones that use nearly identical names.....you know there's gotta be a bunch smart enough to use 4 or 5 totally diff names.....

I couldn't get into the tourny cause it was filled............thanx "travis"

guess I gotta sit in front of puter hitting refresh until the password is released and rush to enter before all the multiple account scumbags fill it up
