Hi CardsChat Members,

I would personally like to welcome all existing and new CardsChat players to Poker.com.

To clarify Nick's post on the qualification options:

If you have previously deposited at Poker.com you should have received the following coupon in your cashier

'Accumulate 1000 comp points to be eligible for the $1000 Freeroll for members of CardsChat'.

This coupon then issues your entry coupon ' $1000 Freeroll for members of CardsChat ' after 1000 comp points has been earned.

If you have not received any of these coupons please contact me via chris@poker.com.

If your a new player to Poker.com please deposit using one of the following coupons:

Coupon name: CARDSCHAT
Coupon offer: 100% bonus in deposits up to $100

Coupon name: CC600
Coupon offer: 300% bonus in deposits up to $200

Once you have earned 1000 comp points you will be issued your entry coupon into the tournament.

So good luck to all members and as always feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Chris

Once again i have to complain about the time Another big midnight freeroll. But in fairness to poker.com, ive left any money that i had on the site because not-withstanding the horrid client problems we had there before i like the site.

To be honest i think that these guys have gotten their house in order since the last time CC had an event there, havnt had any problems at all since my flopped quads got auto-folded.

Nick how about a mid-week game there, at least something different that titan titan titan. ?

I miss the cheap rebuys we used to have there. If the client is sorted now I see no reason not to set them up again.

I too have popped back in the last month and found it to as good as it was before that dreaded 'upgrade' period.

Easy to use and has lots of little things other sites havent or cannot include.

Rabbits, single card show - ok and the smileys

Considering the amount of moans from members about certain other sites i always felt we were a bit quick in shooting this particular site down.

They acknowledged they had problems and set about setting them right - has this happened elsewhere??

Although - midnight for a freeroll WHY

Well I reinstalled the client since I had stopped playing there for quite sometime. Only problem was, this was the one site I didn't write down the password for... I was having some trouble re-setting the password; for some reason, wasn't recognizing me. BUT...got online with live support and was assisted by two very helpful agents (one of which waited online with me for probably 20 minutes while I received emails, and tried out the new password's--he didn't leave until it was completely sorted). Customer service is a big part of my background (when I worked retail) so good service is important to me. Well, I must say I am impressed! So far so good.

I enjoy playing at Poker.com. It has great tournaments and good action in the micro blind NL tables.

My only problem with this promotion: I downloaded Poker.com eons ago from another site. Therefore, unfortunately, I am tagged to the other site and did not receive the invitation even though I have about 5,000 points.

I like poker.com too. I like that fact you can create your own STT. The Unfortunately, no MTT. The freerolls are near to impossible to register.

Im in a similar situation with the invitation scenario so ive wrote to chris at Poker.com as he suggested and im waiting to hear back.

I played in a $5 tourney there this afternoon - came 6th out of 63 and can report it was very smooth and no problems at all - (unlike certain other sites )

I've played poker.com from just about the beginning and also weathered the storm of thier problems. It's one of my favorite sites, but lately have been having a heck of a time winning any money in the sit-n-gos. It's probably just me, but for some reason it seems it's gotten tougher???

Deposit Bonus

Hey there,

I am keen on taking poker.com up on their huge deposit bonus. What are the requirements for this? How many hands do you have to play, and at what stakes? Or do they just give it to you?

so-called "freerolls"

Freerolls by definition are FREE. When there are entry fees such as coupons, drags, money, tickets, player points or other gimmicks, then an event is no longer a FREEroll. The usual excuse is "be we don'ts charge money." Anything of value is an entry cost. Period. All of the word games in the world do not change that!!

mikeem: you're wrong, a freeroll is a tournament without a buyin. There is no buyin to the event, hence it being a freeroll. There's no cost either. You can download the site, deposit, play the raked hand requirements (and win money while doing that) and then play the freeroll. If you're a good poker player you shouldn't lose money out of that, in fact, you should gain.

Maybury2k: Click Here and then click 'Promotions', full information on the freeroll and the deposit bonus are there.

Have been playing on the site for 9 months. It's the most liberal and the most cutomer friendly on the net. I would love to download and play in the rake roll. Yes there is a cost. Free is free. Getting rakes is a job. It takes work to earn the rakes and work takes time and time is money. Hence it is not a free roll but a rake earning. In addition since I already have an account at the site enjoy your rake roll.

I wouldn't say playing 10 hands a day for a week is hard work at all, far from it. It's a free tournament, you pay nothing to enter it and all you have to do is deposit and play a few hands. That's not bad really considering there's $1,000 up for grabs with a small field.

Well, for those of you who are thinking that the 1,000 raked hands seems like a daunting task, take heart! I started playing at the $0.10/$0.25 NL cash games, and in about a total of 3 hours playing time (probably less than that), I have earned over 450 comp points. And, oh, yeah...tripled my original deposit.

OH GOD THE BLACKJACK IS WORKING AT POKER.COM NOW

Just after I'd finally stopped being tempted by Party Blackjack.

Anyway, I put some $ there to see how it looks now but I don't think I can play in the FR 'cos IIRC I didn't deposit through CC.

$1000 Exclusive

I have a quick question regarding this exclusive tourney @ Poker.com :

I downloaded Poker.com from another link but have yet to make a first time deposit. Would I be able to use the deposit code and still be eligible for the bonus deposit along with the coupon entry to the exclusive tourney?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm reading that it is REQUIRED to have 1000 comp points just to participate in the $1,000 freeroll. Is that right???

Yes, Gordon, that is correct. But like I said earlier, it is super-easy to clear. I have played maybe a total of 3 hours (over the past two days) at the $0.10/0.25 NL cash games and have almost 500 points. They are pretty generous in rewarding points. I'm going to have a looks at the site, and I'll post later how they award points.

Here's the skinny on how Comp Points are earned (which can be found when logged in on Poker.com by clicking "Cashier", "Comp Points", then "About Comp Points"):
How do I earn Comp Points?

Comp points can be earned by playing eligible tournaments and real money ring games at Poker.com.
  • Tournaments award a fixed comp point amount. The amount is shown on the tournament details screen when you register.
  • Ring Games award comp points in blocks for every 15 consecutive hands. For every 15 hands you are dealt, you will be awarded a block of comp points based on the chart below.
  • Comp points are not awarded for heads up (2 player max) ring games.
What can I do with my Comp Points?

Comp points are used for a number of purposes at Poker.com, including:
  • Tracking your eligibility requirements to earn sign up bonuses, reload bonuses and freeroll tournament coupons.
  • Accumulation of points to purchase merchandise from the Comp Points Store.
  • Running totals are used to evaluate eligibility for exclusive offers and special player's clubs.
How do I know how many Comp Points I have?

Go to the Comp Points Ledger or check the cashier section, under the comp points tab.
How many Comp Points can I earn?

Comp points are awarded for Hold'em or Omaha games as per the stakes schedule below:

Just finished earning the comp points for this. Pure easy, only took about 2 hours of play at $25MAX N/L ring, played it shorthanded though, quicker to clear and my prefered choice of ring tables.

The standard of play was pretty dire in comparison to the same limit at Stars, might just hang around these tables a little while longer. Only 4 regestered at the last check, myself, Rob, Alon and someone else. Looking forward to playing shorthanded for $1000
