i am going to miss it today because of a previous engagement (toastmasters meeting) that would keep me busy until a while after the start (maybe 40 minutes). and while i am likely to still be alive when i get home if i register right now, i wouldn't want to do this to my fellow CC-ers. i know how annoying it is to have people sitting out at the table.

so, have fun and good luck!

I think you should register. This is a reasonable reason to be sitting out, especially since you would expect to be in when you get home.

I am out.
dj11 went berserk on me and got lucky with a 2 outer.

my stack: 1,340
dj's stack: 1,355

Pre-Flop:
dj limps with 55 UTG. I limp behind with K2 to make a play at the pot.

Flop: 227
dj bets, I call with my trips to represent high cards.

Turn: A
dj bets I re-raise hoping he has an A. I expected him to fold otherwise.
dj goes nuts and re-raises all-in. I of course call with my trips.
He has two outs, the remaining two 5s.

River: 5

dj, what were you thinking re-raising all-in with 3rd pair on a paired board for all of your chips?

yeah cheetah who knows what dj was thinking there i mean you did get luck and hit those dueces but the most luck was on the river for dj.maybe dj thought you had nothing and was calling you down then pushing to get you to fold!?!

Truly my thinking was 'god I hate bodog, I don't want to be here and I'm due.'

The rest would be whining about piss poor cards, my exceptionally piss poor playing, and some figuring in about if I was gonna donk out, might as well do it to someone I knew.

I doubt if I lasted 10 more hands losing to a better kicker.

You could have folded out with bottom set.

Edit; to the question about if I hate bodog why do I bother playing there? I figure I have to get over it, and can't do it from the outside.

He was not calling down. And I re-raised on the turn. Even bad players don't often raise on a bluff. Open-bet perhaps, but not raise.

Also, there was no FE left after his re-raise with 3rd pair. I would have called even with top pair. I wouldn't have with less, but I wouldn't have re-raised with less either.

As far as me getting lucky with trips, I wouldn't have put a lot of money in the pot had I not hit.

I hope dj will shed some light what he was thinking in this hand, if at all.

The standard way to play 55 in early position with big stacks is to see a cheap flop and get out if you don't hit a set. Bluffing OOP with pocket 55 against obvious resistance and to the point of all-in is incomprehensible to me.

Any 2, 7, A and PP 66+ beat him. All he could beat is a total bluff, and it is amaizing to risk your tournament on the off-chance that I might be playing like an idiot and re-raising for all my chips on a total bluff.

I have no idea what happened. Whoever enters these things on Bodog must have a made a mistake. I contacted my rep, but of course he is out of town this week. This should just be a one time thing, as I made clear that these games should stay at the 3:05 time.

Well I busted out 76th. I am just posting now because I finally cooled down. I won one and the whole tourny and my pocket aces got busted by j9 when they rivered a queen to complete their strait.

Actually, the conditions for playing were quite good. Except for the moron that I flamed for going all-in every hand because he "had to go somewhere", the others were OK pre-flop and profitabloe to play with.

I think your hatred for bodog is costing you.

Well, I appreciate your attempt to make a gift to me, but it back-fired.

I don't like bodog either. It is not re-seizable and the colors are terrible in my view. But remarkably, they seem to have some good games.

Time change

I just thought I was an idiot but in reality the game time was changed?
