Your thoughts about Poker Odds Calculators?
Do you find it helpful? Which one is the best one? What you think about it in general?
Thanks. |

I use PokerStove, but more out of habit than because I've looked around very much. And yes, for anyone who wants to seriously improve their game, I think working out scenarios using pen, paper (or Excel) and a program like PokerStove is a very good way to go.

Any edge you can get in Poker is always welcome. Using an odds calculator will of course give you an edge.
I used Texas Calculatem for a while but found it was interferring with my game so I seldom use it now a days. Remember that the odds are only part of the game and you are in a better position to judge your opponents character / table image than any piece of software. Using software that allows you to analyse your play / opponents play and helps to plug leaks in yours is of far more use IMHO, like poker tracker. |
